I drew an anime inspired cat girl for a friend

Drawing this was fun but it really helped entrench my disdain for anime styles in general. I had to disregard so much of what I knew about basic anatomy, hair, clothing and character makeup etc to make the illustration 'sit' right with the style.I found myself struggling to talk about how I was giving personality to this character because there was no personality. Her personality was supposed to come from her outward appearance and it made the act of conceptualising the piece really bland.

Anime art is, above all, boring to me. It's just the same cute body types and jarring eye colors and unassuming personalities that make characters pretty playthings for the viewer. I will gladly not be revisiting it.

I don't really see it like that, to be honest. It's just a particular style, it doesn't mean you can't give your characters personality. Maybe the issue was actually that you didn't have any personality for this specific character other than "anime-esque." If you judge the entire genre by generic moe harem anime, then you're missing out on a lot, just like you would if you judged all fantasy as being Tolkien or Rowling rip-offs.

drew these little guys for my boyfriend since his birthday is coming up tomorrow. i wasn't prepared for how stubby red pandas actually are, so i had some trouble with that, but god did i have fun colouring him in.

on the other hand the ferret looks like a retarded stoat.

Here's the last of the Wacky Races Forever drawings. Enjoy.
Another artist was nice enough to let me borrow his idea of having Lazy Luke and Daisy Mayhem be father and daughter and driving together. As well as making Sooey the pig cuter. This was from his own WR reboot. (I always loved Daisy as a kid.)

Truth is that I never really liked Blubber Bear so I created a new one named, Cuddles. Though gruff and rough, she enjoys the feminine things in life. Yes, I based her appearance off the bear from Total Drama Island. She even later on develops a crush on Dick Dastardly when he saves her life (you see, it was the Christmas Spirit that made him do his good deed of the year during a holiday race).

Since the other racers were done in the unaired Wacky Races Forever pilot, I'm not doing them. I decided to unearth my petition to make the show a reality. (Wishful thinking, I know.) Besides, Cartoon Network needs some more good stuff again. And the screeching of SJWs and 3rd-wave feminists will be fun/annoying.

@ToroidalBoat asked who my avvie was of (Misty May), and so I felt like drawing her. I messed up the lower left, so I never bothered inking the rest in and will probably cover it with a washi tape border or something. -- If I'm not too lazy to colour it... Otherwise it's going in the black void of sketches pile.
