Hey does the blue drawing on the left read as that cartoon Disney style? I was shooting for that look.
which cartoon are you talking about?
i just wanna know how bad you gotta fuck up in order to have some arcane shooters kicking down your door
i had a thought of putting the bad guys in the window but im not sure who to put there just yet
maybe ill get a fun idea later

would still say the left leg should be longer. From that point it looks really short
maybe
but i already started shading and honstly just kinda wanna move on to the rest of the thing
and i really happy with how gun turned out

Not really to me, when I think Disney, I instantly think of the eyes and that cheek thing that pops out, but I haven't seen Disney movie in a long time so I just going off things I remember, I did quick thing to show what I instantly think of when I think Disney, ignore the doodles on side, I forgot to remove them, it just warm up thing.

I'm back in the thread and have since made some successive iterations and versions on the logo/avatar that I showcased in a previous post.

Version 5:
wol_v5.webp

I wanted to try a more symmetric version as the previous version(s) were unique, but I felt they were missing something. I felt this was too simple, however, and so did the following versions.

Version 6:
wol_v6.webp

Version 7:
wol_v7.webp

Come V6, I wanted to make the avatar seem more sophisticated. From V6 to V7, the main difference is that the "arms" emerge from the same point and I felt that change really made it better, even if I lost the nice parallel arms.

Version 8 - This is mainly a fattened up and slightly adjusted Version 7 and I brought back the dark version:
wol_v8.webpwol_v8_dark.webp

Version 9 - The final iteration that I had been using as the avatar for a while:
wol_v9_dark.webp

This version was given an almost low-angle perspective for an imposing, dominant, or powerful characteristic. I further wanted the avatar to look more like a stoic, immovable, calculating thing and I felt this did it. My account's avatar that might have been seen before this post had to be cropped, so one couldn't see the farther pylons.

I also just finished working on a shaded depiction:

Wol X
I felt tempted to give the shell - the part outside of the eye/iris - a bit more of a glossy finish, especially to push my bounds as I don't usually paint/shade and as I don't usually utilize greatly reflective materials yet, but I'm largely happy with the more matte appearance.

Alongside the above, I did something comparatively simple but related: A personification of the logo I think.

Wol B

Not much to say about this, I wanted to do something in my toon style as a possible alternate avatar.

For both of the direct above, I did experiment a bit more with blending modes and other Krita tricks/features after having found some tutorials. Namely, I found and can recommend David Revoy for learning about the capabilities of Krita. He is French but a few of his speedpainting+comics tutorials and demos have been rather enlightening for my technique in the above two and another work/attempt I have yet to publish.

There's virtually no art of my favorite Sanrio character, Mentakun, so I redrew a Hello Kitty pic I saw on Pinterest with best boy:

I couldn't give him a clown suit, so I gave him a ball to balance on. Makes up for the lack of body and the missing space! The worst part was moving the dots on the ball, I wasn't sure if I should go full 3D sphere placement/dot warping or just straight-up flat, I kind of split the difference and idk how I feel about it. But I think at a glance it all reads just fine. I love Menta's cute little face, and curling his left tentacle around things. One of these days I'll stop being scared of trying to pose him lol

I encountered this dude and I had to draw him. he was effeminate, yet indescribably masculine. shorter than me, yet somehow towering over me. handsome, and hideous. hair dripping with grease and/or some kind of hair product. he stank of weed and was covered with piercings. I was utterly fascinated. I approached to introduce myself. As I got closer, he pulled out his phone and started scrolling through a photo gallery filled entirely with professional looking headshots of himself. I was stunned, and never did have the chance to talk to him. I swear on my life this is a fully accurate, non-exaggerated depiction. I'm not sure when I'll be able to interview a resident of Innsmouth again, but I won't let the opportunity slip away next time.

disney is all about this line right here:

disney line.jpg

watch Sleeping Beauty if you're interested in that, it's the start of the "disney style" and everything since then has been a modification or reaction to it. overall just a really beautiful film.
aurora.jpg

it's also a beautiful example of sexual dimorphism in humans, and why trannies never pass. female brow usually protrudes less, while the cheek comes out more, and vice versa for men, something you can observe in the video above
