a cherry, complete with no philtrum or any actual shading! because i use 'sketches' as an excuse to not colour shit properly

I drew Modeus from Helltaker because she's cute. It's been a million years since I've drawn, but I'm going to try getting back into it because my brain is sad.

She looks really cute and I like the way you cut off the bust! The sketchy style is nice! I think my favorite part are the eyes. Keep on drawing when you can!

I’ve been drawing more lately and drew this:

The anime face in real life one made me laugh really hard this is good stuff OP!

Was trying to do some weapon designs based on Mayan/Olmec stuff, made from obsidian (minus the staff). Dunno if I'll ever finish these, but they're coming along pretty well!
I’m gonna nitpick and say that obsidian weapons would NEVER have tiny protrusions and long thin parts connected to the main body by a tiny area, because obsidian is famous for being ridiculously hard (thus being able to retain a sharp edge) but also ridiculously brittle. The front of that first blade and the little spikes on the second one would snap off if you so much as tapped them against the ground.

Yeah, I know, I know. I got the inspiration for the second one from an ancient sword. I think Balinese or Filipino or something? Or maybe from Tibetan art, I forget now. But it's meant to be more fantasy-esque than realistic. (Plus, it looks cool. :smug: ) 'Cause like you said, since it's knapped to the point of being nearly see-through, it's delicate.

So I went big weeb. I loved Digimon as a kid and one of my favorite parts were the personality Crests that everyone had. I had to clip/file the top and bottom parts of each piece, but I can say they all successfully fit into the necklace. And then here's a collage of more perler stuff I've been making. I've been having a blast making this stuff, especially getting my five year old niece into it.

Hi friends,
I’m wanting your criticism, but I might be hesitant at first. My art can give away who I am, no?
It’s been posted here before and I gotta say, it was done rightfully so. I was a Tumblr koolaid drinker who thought my work was superior and amazing, despite the toxic levels of cringe attached. That aside, the way I drew famous characters was... bizarre to say the least. Plus from a technical side, it wasn’t that good. Glitch filters all over the place and random overlay layers for the hell of it.
I like to think I’ve grown since then, and was curious to post some of my recent work here.... I might as well post a still life I attempted, no?

(The bright red Mark is my signature, I crossed it out just to protect myself a bit)
I mainly do character artwork, but I’m branching out on my technical side. I think it’s decent. Even though it’s a newer piece, I see errors or things I’d change. It’s amazing how people can grow so
Even some of my recent work is embarrassing to me, lol. But I enjoy drawing a lot, so as long as it’s fun in the moment then that’s what matters

anyways...
I might post my old art, kinda nervous tho ngl. Here’s to my first post!

It seems like it to me that you know about edges, but just a limited way they can be used and that gives your study a flat look.

You pay attention to important parts like local shadows and cast shadows but aren't aware of occlusion shadows.

Light is pretty complicated in the way it interacts, but there's a manageable number of components that when used properly, give your painting form.

Your work also suffers from using the wrong brush to a paint with. Like in the painting above. It would help to stop using that brush as a primary painting brush, and to find a brush out there on the internet that is a good all-around brush to block in shapes and colors with. Once stuff is blocked in, you can use the fun textured brushes.

Posted a sketch of this a few pages back, finally got it to a state where I'm happy to call it "finished". @Celandine I took your advice and changed the face a bit, which I feel suits it a lot better. There's still some stuff I'm not quite happy with but at this point I'm just going to move on to the next thing.

So these were doodles for a monastic order I made up in my head. Was just playing around with brushes I'd downloaded and drew the guy in the cloak and hat first. Thought it looked cool, so I went ahead with it. Haven't done much with these since, though. I modeled the interior room in Blender then just started doodling over it. Idk if I should keep it B/W or color it.

A huge inspiration for all this was Mateusz Skutnik, if any of you have ever played his Flash games. The art style really inspired me to go with this, and I like it!

Was about to being art last night but then my tablet decided to be a shit and stop accepting touch input. So I'll have to restart my entire PC to fix it.

However, I did still do art. Made some tarot cards from previous art + photoshop for the frames.

Been meaning to do something this autistic every since the homestuck kickstarter had those tarot cards and I'm like "One day I'll do that because it sounds like something an autistic person would enjoy."

Five years later i at last did it. My only regret is that some of the art is rather old. I The Magician and X Wheel of Fortune show it worst.
