Reactions: Neurotic Loser
For few months I wanted to draw battle priest, inquisitor or some other conqueror of supernatural filth. I started drawing this after reading manga "Heartless" made by Nishin Masumi.
I also have to say, this dude has almost nothing in common with cult from "Heartless", he simply also kills supernatural things.

It's a late post but I did actually draw some prompts to a Halloween stream I was part of, here's a frankenstein's monster girl.

and my OC Pep Cookiedoe cursed to wear a pumpkin over his head for a single night of the year.

For a bit of context, he's a cartoon cat I drew very early into my life and has become one of my central characters in recent times.

Here are some lineart doodles of him.

Ok, this may sound autistic, but I see that you, and people from other sites, seem to not like my Inquisitor drawing. Can someone give me a critique explaining, why it's that way?
Maybe because it is not that well drawn. The proportions are not that good ( the torso and shoulders are too wide compared to the arms and legs and the head might be a bit too small), not sure if you want to go for a more exaggerated style or not but you should probably start with learning basic anatomy first before doing that. The weapon looks kind of broken too.

Sorry if this sound mean but I can see you are passionate about this and I just want to see you improve.

oh is it that elaborate? i just thought everyone here fucking hated star wars for some reason lmaooo

speaking of sloppy drawings i didnt have enough time to give attention or focus to, here's a prompt from 'spider riding a skateboard' and it is every bit as hideous as you could possibly fathom it makes maxautismo's inquisitor look really good by contrast

I will now fuckingf hang myself for creating such a dumb thing and having the incourtesy to post it for the public to openly and deservedly revile haha

Well here is my shot at redemption I decided last night to go and make the next four seconds of that cinematic and it went... really well!

You may notice the first three scenes are gone, that was so i could upload it, seems the max MB upload limit is much smaller here than it is for discord. I did get to include the scene where I updated the sound and animation for the hand cast thing.

Decided to get back into drawing after spending a couple days with my $250 drawing tablet last summer. Drew yet another old guy to see if I could do it any better.

I haven't drawn in years (and even then it was only occasionally), but everything I've drawn so far looks no better than the stuff I did when I was nine, and all I had then was pencil and paper without the ability to make a rough sketch on a separate layer. The most frustrating thing is that I "see" what I'm trying to draw in professional graphic novel-level detail, with my own drawing style, but when I try sketching that mental image it comes out as a total mess and I'm forced to omit details until it looks like what you see above.

You gotta start with the basic shapes. One thing that people will tell you is the obvious "deconstruct everything into more basic shapes and build from there", which helps a lot on getting sketches done. After that, you begin working up the details in each part.

But since you're starting (or i guess you are), i suggest you take a bunch of pictures (women, men, children, landscapes...) and draw from that. Capturing the detail, shape and proportion is a matter of practise in a good part, and drawing from models will help you get that experience. Start with simple things like faces, hands or torsos and them move to bust pictures.

Also, if you are in need of tutorials to learn how to draw things in a neat and concise way, check John McFarlane's vids on Youtube. He keeps it short and sweet and shows how to make faces, face details and hands, the main things you will have a gripe with. Plus, he's a swell dude.

Edit: also, when you draw something that you see is wrong, take a good look and see what it's wrong with it. Learn from it and try to make it different in the next drawing.
