Prepping more art for Seraphim, this is the demon-side protagonist
Mischevia after ascending to Dark Seraphim. Possibly the first soulcatcher to do so since Esperia and Anathema did it back in the day.
Demise of Morality
Ascending to this point means in general you've left morals behind. granted, some still have a sort of moral code, twisted and skewed as it is, Esperia is a good example of this.
But when you get to this stage you are aware of the bigger picture, morals must be discarded to do what must be done, sometimes. This is where Soulcatchers and their ever more powerful ascensions are best skilled.
To even become a soulcatcher one must willingly choose Heldath over the other two choices of afterlife, and then the tests endured to reach Dark Seraphim status are many and taxxing morally. Dark Seraphim are rare, Serazai, the rank that follows, was unheard of until Esperia reached it.
There is one final step beyond that which the aspects won't tell you about, and those are the ruler classes.
For Demons, this is the Demon Lord, and at that point you are closer to a God than an immortal being. The only immortal who has ever done this is Svoli, when she broke and became everything she hated, she underwent Apotheosis but had no idea about ruler classes. No one is supposed to.
However, as Svoli was an angel but yet her cause for Apotheosis was a devilish one, she become a weird thing that I've yet to really name beyond "Apotropaic God".
The only other being to ascend via Apotheosis was the mortal lady, Mira Crowspeaker. That's a tale for another time, though.
Oh, lemme share a couple close ups, as there's a lot to take in with this image~!
A face which belies murderous intent. Not to mention one of the best looking swords I've ever drawn~
