Yes, this game broke KF's brain. I don't see why anyone would want a game where they need to babysit a snotty kid. I don't say you are a diddler, just that you have shit taste in games.

I would like to remind you all about another game dealing with raising a child in a post-apocalyptic setting that is 100x more effective in its storytelling and actually condemns freaks that would fuck said child in-game.

One thing that gets me is how every time some gook game gets released now, a bunch of right wing accounts (that are obvious shills) immediately turn it into some culture war thing. Out of nowhere. Wukong, Stellar Blade, Crimson Desert, now this. Having it around this game is particularly interesting because it makes zero sense, but it is all the usual suspects trying to push that narrative. That "based Asia" is making beautiful characters and the West will never recover. The WOKE TRANNIES are mad! It's never just a good game. I feel like these shills have accidentally stepped on a landmine with this one though since the main arguments are mainly that Capcom picked a tranny to promote it, they did their wink at the lolicons with the emote, and lolicons are being very brazen and out in the open in replies. And it just starts getting weirder when the shill accounts go "They just want the child to be UGLY!" No? People are just noticing things. If it wasn't for the loli brigade, I wouldn't be interested simply because the woke left destroying beauty culture war shit every time a gook does something puts me off. It's too coordinated and obvious at this point.

Not everyone who is interested in this game is a pedo. Some people do genuinely think it's fun and enjoy the cutesy moments. I get that. I would never accuse everyone who enjoys this game of being a pedo without any additional input. But I'm tired of people acting like there are no legit problems here and that Capcom doesn't know exactly what they did. In a way, you know what I'm reminded of? Furries back in the day. They'd be around though not quite as openly. People got lax in making them afraid to be so openly degenerate. Now they're everywhere, sometimes pretending it's not a sex thing, putting themselves near kids. People need to nip this in the bud. People should fuck with the loli lovers and make them feel unwanted. Much like NAMBLA did with LGBT decades ago, lolicons are inserting themselves into politics. They picked right wing for free speech (freedom to jerk it to animated and AI children) and if it doesn't get rooted out, it will become a big problem. The lolicons are getting very, very bold these days. They aren't just gooning anonymously on chan boards and backwater sites. They run accounts on twitter with blue checkmarks and sometimes their real faces. They are getting winks and nods from Vtuber corporations and game companies.
 
The reality is that most games have dumb fans that will taint your opinion of the game if you engage with them and that it’s better to not engage with fan communities if you want to enjoy anything.

To speak fairly, Pragmata without online commentary appears innocuous (I haven’t played the game, so there may be a pedo smoking gun I haven’t seen yet), but the game is gaining this reputation as a pedo game due to fans 😭 -posting all over the internet about the game. I remember Donkey Kong Bananza getting a similar treatment last year by the same sort of crowd for having a young Paulina. There was also A Hat in Time years ago that had the same crowd doing the same routine as well because of the main character being a female child. And then you have Resident Evil 2 remake’s Sherry character and The Last of Us’ young female lead where the same crowd also took those characters and made them pedo icons online. In a world where it’s frowned upon in first world societies to issue favela justice to pedophiles, this is the kind of thing that’s bound to happen and the most you can do is not get involved in fan communities if you plan on playing a game because there is a good chance they will ruin it for you.

The problem is that the company is leaning into this stuff and has a history. That's it. You can kinda handwave it away with DK but this cannot be done here as cleanly, it stretches credibility.

If it quacks like a duck, that's one thing. If it quacks like a duck and there's documentation of previously hanging around ducks and doing duck things, yeah it is absolutely a duck.

Journalists, especially left wing outlets, always do that though. With anything. The accounts I was referring to though just all come off like shills and never say anything about the actual game except sperging the fuck out about culture wars and pushing how much better Asia is. And they do it all at the same time. It does not feel organic. I see their posts long before I even see the source of what they're mad about. Because no one actually reads or puts much stock in what journalists say these days. I never heard of Stellar Blade until all these right wing and Gamergate leftover accounts started spazzing out. Even then, nothing about the actual game. Just Grummz and others posting videos of the character swimming and jumping up and down in different outfits. The others too. Not a peep about the actual gameplay. Just culture war shit and "THE WEST IS DONE." With Pragmata, it became even more noticeable because it's a weird one to try and culture war over in the first place. It feels just as fake and performative as the leftists and, yeah, I think these fags are getting paid by gook companies to sperg out about how Asia is so much better. Just the same as the leftist shills being paid to drum up problems. Hell. If everyone had just ignored Anita Sarkeesian's grift of the month, none of this would be happening.
 
Reading this thread has been a pleasant surprise. I was expecting to find discussion about some stupid video game but instead I found a philosophical explanation of the meaning of fatherhood from an unmarried, childless guy, along with a moral panic about pedophilia. This is the kind of high-quality content you can only get on KF.
