i dont know you tell me my dude. the last game i played that had little girls on it was sillent hill 2 and resident evil 9 who FOR SOME TOTALLY IMPORTANT REASON also has a barefoot little girl, was made by capcom, and used a gross tranny as its mouthpiece.

I never doubted that this would be the case, I'm discussing and pointing to the game itself.
I don't care that pedo's wanted to fuck Angelica Pickles, does Pedo's being degen demons means they have flowed upstream and infected Rugrats?

now, I FULLY GRANT, that the case could be the dev's here are dog whistling to these people, however, alot of people saying so, give a "I gave it one look and I just fuckin KNEW it was PEDO CODED"

I personally will not buy this game because she's a creepy doll girl, but my gripe is the discussion around it, is this the world my kids are going to inherent? Pedo's lusting after every depicted child and every depicted child being investigated as an instance of pedo dog whistling, both at the same time? exhausting and insane.

Like I alluded to above, if Rugrats or some other innocuous shit came out today, everyone, you included, would be eyeballing it with extreme contempt, and likely the pedo's would be sexualizing it too, its a world of madness.

Edit, there is a song from Protomen that sort of sums up my despair at this whole notion, near the end of the Album/Opera, where Dr. Light despairs at the state of oncoming horrific changes.

I find it funny that "now I fully grant that Capcom might be weirdos" post came right after I pointed out another game where Capcom baited incest.
 
I found out that this game exists because of the user sponsoring their post complaining that Dear Leader criticized it...

Didn't have any context about it except for the cover art and that user's description of it as a wholesome relationship. I thought it would be about a biological family trying to survive in a dark sci-fi setting and overlooked the child character's design because "everyone is pretty in a game". Finding out that the child is a robot ironically makes it much creepier than if she was a real child in the game. Robots are designed with intention. Thinking about how in-universe creators deliberately designed a realistic, pretty child robot reminds me that in the real world, real people made and defended the same design decision. It's even creepier and weirder to think that the in-universe creators of the child robot made sure to program her with realistic childish behavior. Breaks suspension of disbelief to make the player wonder why this design was implemented both in-universe and in the real world.

But it has Denuvo, so I'm not playing it either way.

And my question is there a separation from people sexualizing a product or thing from the thing itself.
In this case there might not be, but im talking more generally.
Going forward will any depiction of a child be pedophilic because of pedos as a modern groups transgressions?

This sort of signals that all art and media is now captured, a conceptual level, even in a vacuum, by people outside it, forever, on every topic, not just kids

  1. She's 15. Still a child, but at an age where many would feel she shouldn't be so helpless, even if there's plenty good reason for her actions.
  2. She has the 1-2 punch of being sheltered and anxious, which is a bit to deal with.
  3. At least for broad strokes, she doesn't get much more than being a damsel in distress. It doesn't sound like she gets a chance to develop beyond that.
While Pragmata looks at parenting overly positively, Sarah's story is very bleak. One is just positive, the other just negative. Neither is completely fair to parenting, a tough albeit fulfilling part of life. Basically, don't let video games decide whether you should be a parent.

It's been a while since I've played Season 2. It's also the season I want to erase from memory because it's so bad, but that's a side tangent not relevant. I was going off of rough memory but I forgot what age she was only that she was young. She also dies in the stupidest way possible too.

Ok, at first i thought it was just some predditers pojecting onto gamers for wanting to fuck children, but after seeing this thread and this post......holy shit! there are a lot of people who need an appointment with Dr.woodchipper.
 
I for one will continue to look up to Brad Armstrong from LISA: The Painful as my go-to surrogate father sim. It fulfills my masculine urge to be a deadbeat drug addled father to a very, very unfortunate daughter.

Jokes aside, I do feel bad for the genuine fans of Pragmata but it is really hard to deny that Diana looks unnaturally dolled up. That and the whole Diana cry emoji is very obviously pedo-coded, I don't care if you disagree.
Like Null already pointed out, it is completely possible to achieve this kind of dynamic with a child character and have it not be bombarded on social media with gooners thirst posting, but I think this design is very ingrained in Japan's (and I would argue South Korea's as well) culture. They really are obsessed with implementing the cute "moe" look and it is just so common and accepted because of their culture of sexualizing the youth that the potential for attracting creeps is barely an afterthought, if a thought at all. It's also just a lack of creativity, it comes across as a crutch for getting attention from social media and marketing. The character design is just boring because of this generic "make the kid look cute" design philosophy.
