Pride Month

Full blown Riot in North Hollywood. A Public Elementary school decided to hold a "pride event" and it went down about as well as the Boston City Bussing incident. Parents with US Flags beating each others' faces in on the street. Order restored at a school for children aged 5 to 10 years by by armored police wielding truncheons and guns.

At Saticoy Elementary School in North Hollywood, controversy over a scheduled Pride event came to a head Friday morning when parents on both sides of the issue squared off in dueling demonstrations that turned violent.

Supporters and opponents of a Pride month assembly gathered outside the school with city and school police stepping in to separate the sides.

Officers were on the scene to “facilitate a peaceful and lawful exercise of constitutional rights,” the Los Angeles Police Department said on Twitter.

The two sides traded arguments and insults over the officers’ heads. Helicopter footage showed the war of words turned physical at one point, with multiple punches thrown. After a few moments, other members of the crowd were able to successfully separate the combatants, and police swooped in to maintain order.

I don't think many people would place objections on a teacher saying "Tom has two dads, they've got a different relationship dynamic and sometimes that happens" to like....15 year olds during a sex education class. That does technically happen, it's worth explaining to a minimal degree in terms of education. The problem is that we know precisely what the fuck these people are saying and doing in these book reads, it's weird very sexual shit and it's specifically targeted towards young children, it's completely unnecessary and it's borderline grooming. That's the problem. Tone it down and talk to teenagers about it, you probably won't have pissed off Christians outside your school throwing hands.

Makes me worry what its going to be like another 15 years from now

And it will get memoryholed just like that one was. I didn't learn about that shit until 2020, in high school when we learned about the civil rights era in US History, the busing thing was one sentence at the very end of the civil rights chapter that said basically "oh yeah and also in the 70s they used busing to end segregation and some people didn't like it" before immediately moving on, not mentioning the deaths and horrible violence (mostly instigated by the pro-integration side, gee I wonder why they wouldn't mention it).

I have very serious and strong objections to the normalization of adult homosexuality too, my nibba.
When "two dads" adopt a child, they will teach the child that homosexuality is normal. Obviously, or the child would not accept them.
That is impossible to tolerate. You wanna buttseks, you do it in the intimacy of your room closet and be grateful that you live in a civilized country without tall buildings and steep hills that accidents tend to happen on so often in the Middle East.
I'm not religious, BTW. I simply want heterosexual families and heterosexual reproduction to continue to be the norm, i.e. I am a dreaded cisheteropatriarchy implicit social norms enjoyer.

To be honest those are exactly the kinds of organizations and companies I'd expect to see pushing the Pride Flag in-universe to whitewash their unethical and criminal activities.

So basically the same reason why giant corporate oligopolies do so IRL.
