What gets me is alike a lot of these couples look eerily alike:

A person in a dog mask at Pride is, most likely, not necessarily titillated by the activity or feeling aroused in a particular way... same with people in leather. They're almost certainly just preoccupied with advertising their lifestyles to other queer kinksters in the same way that anyone in a rainbow tee is. Why do you think people wearing leather to Pride are secretly getting off to it? Have you ever spoken to them? ...because you'll find their primary emotion, at least in my experience, is largely variations on a theme of "It's so hot here and I wanna go home and shower and get a vodka soda." They're not like, secretly nutting. Seeing someone in leather gear is not "participating" in their kink any more than seeing someone in a rainbow shirt is participating in their gay relationship. You can't "not" consent to seeing someone in leather gear any more than you can "not" consent to seeing someone in a shirt that says like, "I love blowjobs."
  4. Pride isn't "for" kids. This isn't to say kids aren't welcome; rather, as an event, it did not originate as an activity or gathering catered towards kids. Its rules and goals were never formed with children in mind. I would again urge you to consider why you think Pride is an event that needs to cater to children and why you think a statistically significant number of them are attending Pride specifically with the children in attendance in mind.

My counterargument:

The sad thing is that all I needed to do wa search 'kink pride' in the KiwiFarms earch box. These were in the first page.
 
Is it 2024 pride already?? Some stores near me still had 2023 pride products in clearance last month.

Especially the pride lip balms ive seen in clearance pretty much every visit the last year, I think they just decided to toss them entirely. I havent seen any pride merch at that store the past week.
Actually, I live in a very woke area and even the wokest store has, like, a single pride item theyre currently selling.
Nothing at the other stores or even on the big online retailers.

Oh, one of my stores (the one with a lot of party supplies) did have a """pride""" section, but the items in it are just the colourful (not even the pride flag just multicolour) decorations they have year round in the normal party section, like pink solo cups from the bachelorette section, a foil balloon of a literal rainbow (that only has pink, blue and green arches) from the kids section, basic glow sticks, red heart balloons from the valentines section, plastic lei necklaces, and literally just normal holographic metal straws and slightly colourful cermic plates from their housewares section.

The single actual pride article they had was the normal rainbow flag without the black people stripes or the gender triangle.

Honestly, smart of them to just try to capitalise off of this pride shit by using their regular stock instead of odering a bunch of ugly pride shit thatll be in clearance within a week.

That's definitely a bit eerie. Maybe they aren't broadly gay, but like Narcissus, fell in love with themselves, but decided settling for a doppleganger would do. :thinking:


The same sex couples I know aren't so mirrored. The guys in the second picture in particular I would have thought was just overlaying two photos of the same person.

Also saw some posts seething over target 'giving into hate' by not doing childrens pride merch this year and limiting it to online and to stores where the shit will actually sell

Also apparantly some pride events this year were cancelled due to lack of sponsorship and other had to dial back in scope a lot because the region didn't want to pay as much for the closing down the streets for pride parades

There's this thing called 'planning and arranging funding for your own events' but we know the type to attend pride shit are often chronically lazy.
Also lol even the dutch 'far right' is still uber woke on gay shit in pretty much all bigger cities.

Also, I checked for further info, and not only is the municipality the second biggest/most populated in the country, but their mayor is a lefist arab, and the official statement is that the pride was cancelled due to financial issues. And Amsterdam is only 60 minutes away.

Cities planning parades on the same days as eachother is also deliberate sabotage and not just them both planning it on the first weekend of pride month because its the date that makes the most sense.

Hell, he's bitching when theres a big easily accesible pride parade within an hour of them but thats not good enough because its sponsored by 'transphobic telephone providers', surely they are truly heinous and the 'transbian' isnt majorly overreacting.
