This is the gayest part about this. I always forget about the watch feature, I don't want to have to watch every thread I post in. There's a lot of threads I probably won't even bother looking at now because I only remember them because I get a sticker notification from them.
This. Its handy as an occasional "hey, remember this thread? and this post?" without having to rely upon replies which spam shit up. I've had a lot of chuckles from a reaction being added, making me look at something I haven't looked at in weeks.
Score I can deal with, but reactions notifications being gone will make tracking shit hard, unless I just watch every thread I ever post in, then have to sort them all out.
I feel like I only really see pink triangles on users who are a scourge across the site and often pestered Null or staff in some way. I've seen far more users with negative reaction scores due to being faggy drama whores than actual pink triangles disruptors.
Besides the Pink Triangle is only given at the discretion of tranny jannies, whereas a negative reaction score is given organically at the behest of the community.
Wanting only jannys to be able to determine who is a sperg is equivalent to wanting only police officers/the Military to be able to keep and bear arms, not civilians fyi @Null

If you divulge personal information about yourself, anything you really like or are very involved with that's even vaguely out of the ordinary, are not already a public figure, on the site dedicated to laughing at people that do exactly that, and to this day has a reaction sticker to say "hey you're revealing too much", you're a colossal fucking retard.
It's additionally but probably not equally as retarded to expect people to do the above willingly, and on public threads no less. Why are people talking in DMs and not in public? So that the rest of the site doesn't flood it with spam, archives and mockery, obviously.
I also don't for one second buy the notion that any of this is out of fear of troons or commies or any other progressive/deviant-adjacent finding out information when what is infinitely more likely and concerning is 100% not wanting to end up anywhere on this thread or any others like it.

Some people find KF because their former community is taken over or shut down and they need a place to be able to discuss their interests and hobbies without fear of committing thoughtcrime in the process. They might not know what a lolcow is, they just want to talk about Linux or women’s issues without genderspecials breathing down their necks.

Adding onto points others made, organizational entitlement happens quickly. You had stickies and reaction scores, it’s difficult to take them away without some friction. As far as DM’s go, it’s not so much as there’s something wrong happening for people to want to use them, it’s just that they’re an additional way of interacting.
Anyways, does this mean that badges go too? I don’t care about reaction scores or alerts but I do have an inflated sense of pride over my “well-spoken” badge
One worry of removing the reaction scores though I think is people are more likely to shit up a thread if they have no repercussion from it. Getting an auttistic sticker or something only matters really when it has that negative connotation from seeing their score drop. But this is just my behavioral psychology background talking.
Even if its private to the person it still gives that psychological feedback that may dissuade from more trollish postings.
Actually I've noticed people sperg out MORE because of mean stickers. Like you didn't know autistic stickers mean absolutely nothing but it has such a negative connotation for example.

IMO the good here outweighs the bad. People would sperg about getting the wrong reaction and the whole system encouraged groupthink.
Hot take but the quality of the discourse didn't go to shit because of stickers, KF has had reactions for a long time.

removal of karma is an overall good, i think, i have definitely seen some people make posts that added little substance, but agreed with the popular opinion of the thread to farm karma, hopefully it culls some attention seeking
