ProjectMoon Megathread - Lobotomy Corporation, Library of Ruina, Limbus Company, etc.

Started the morning with the 13 pull not expecting anything, and rolled RHeath (also Gregor's EGO). Sadly didn't pull 000 Outis and Sang, guess I'll hope to get them in the 13 pulls and at worst go bananas the day before those are over (if people here report Sang is good). Wonder if the bigger party will become a norm following on.
I mean, It's pretty obvious we are going to have a 12 man fight vs white night near the end of the game.

I got him. Initial impressions are that his set up and pay off are very easy to pull off unlike EGO Sunshower Heathcliff. As long as Yi Sang has a certain amount of tremor, his third skill is converted into an AoE (Which combined with his passive is really good). If you have multiple turns you can basically spam the AoE every round that you get it. Even without the AoE he's an excellent clasher. Just be careful if the enemies inflict and burst tremor. It's honestly a very good ID, not as busted as R-corp Heathcliff, W-corp Don or N-corp Sinclair, but it still holds up. It carried me most of the way through this chapter's dungeon.

With most of my wishlist already pullable, I'm looking at W Don and the third skilll is awesome but you always need to manage her to not kill herself. From what I understand Telepole makes her shine.

Did 100 pulls and got spooked with NFaust and KK Rodion before getting Yi Sang. So far my worst banner.

Imo, chapter 3 > 4 > 1 > 2
Yi sang being emo and being obsessed with stable diffusion was just kinda boring to me.
The least interesting character of the chapter and still somehow the most boring out of the team.
I'm betting that Dante is the guy who made the original mirror technology. I can't remember the name since apparently all koreans have the same name.

People will still try to tell me we aren't raiding the library at some point kek

I tried to play Library of Ruina but the intro is a pain in the ass and the gameplay just gets shat at you and you're expected to understand 10 mechanics at once.

What games does it compare to and is it worth getting into?

As someone who generally dislikes deck builders, It's become one of my favorite games/franchises. If you cant be bothered to deckbuild, look up Dice_24k's deck guides on steam and just play using those.
It's basically a VN hiding behind a deck builder. Story wise its main theme is Man made horrors with large swaths of Christian influence.
It's one of those games that you are really missing out on if you don't play it.

Okay I went full banana today, didn't actually spend money but I did use almost the entirety of my free lunacy. The only identities I'm missing are Gripped Sinclair and Chef Ryoshu since both are not available until next sesason. Managed to randomly get W Don so I bought her Telepole since might as well.

The weird thing that in both pools I got the 000 identity twice.

Also forgot to say, but it is pretty cool the leftover pity was converted to threads.

Whenever I recommend Ruina to other people, I compare it to Slay the Spire. It's the closest point of comparison as far as deck builders go. But Slay the Spire is mainly a Rouge-like in which you control just 1 charcter per run and you can complete a full run in an hour or two if you know how to build decks. There aren't many other card battlers out there tbh, at least that I know of.

To be fair in Ruina the gameplay starts slow but it does then throw multiple mechanics at you to use. But from all those mechanics I used only the ones I liked. I didn't bother with smoke or bleed that much and ended up using a lot of ranged cards and charge. I will say that it expects you to either understand Mass attacks from the confusing instructions (Which I didn't) or by trial by fire (Bang your head against mass attacks until you get how they work, I learnt that way). It is also a pain in the ass if you don't like reading what mechanics the boss uses, something that is necesary later on (Specially with the Iron Lotus, Red Mist or the Ensemble)

The new dungeon was pretty great, especially Dongrang's story; Yi Sang's was good as well. Although I wish the Abno and DongRang's battles were a little harder.

Interestingly enough, full battle sprites for a hatless Farmwatch are found in the files. Other than that, last week or lines pointing towards a K-corp Hong Lu ID were found in the files, so it looks like the next banner is gonna be Talisman Sinclair and K-corp Hong Lu.

We don't have any info on their kits, but based on the Abno, I think Sinclair will probably use Blunt attacks, with a Gloom skill 3 and a Lust skill 2, as well as Bind and Rupture. Personally, I'm hoping he's the three star since so far, our only Rupture focused ID is Rosespanner Gregor.

For the K-corp Hong Lu, it depends on if he'll be a grunt or one of those class 3 guys we fought. Both of them use Blunt and Gluttony attacks, but the grunts also have sloth and a Tremor/Tanking focus; The class 3 guys use Rupture and low sanity mechanics, with them applying Sinking and doing extra damage when their positive coins land on heads.

K-corp seems a bit of an odd choice for Hong Lu, but he does lack a tremor ID, so he probably wont end up being the three-star unless PJM decides to surprise us with two new rupture IDs at once.

Edit:
PJM delayed MD2, MD2 Hard, and RR2. One thing to note is that the RR2 is coming out after chapter 4.5, unlike what the mistranslated image says. I hope the polish sticks and we get something sufficiently balanced for base lv40 uptied 4 IDs.

Finished the dungeon. Won't lie here, having a roster of top tier characters gave me big dick energy. Shame the final bosses felt way too spongey and just dragged on rather than be a particular challenge. Also god damn it's a mess to get ego going for those battles

Lore wise it's a powerful ending, and makes me hope Gregor and Rodion get their own epic conclusion after their chapters acting more as tutorials. We have Carmen being named dropped out of the fucking blue. Some things I didn't really get: wtf was in Sinclair's dungeon that got K corp performing exterminatus on the place, what did the glass do (unless it just restored color) and what was the connection between K corp's distortion and the crying child abnormality. I guess the game takes around 10 years after Ruina?

Anyways let's go away from K Corp for now, it's a silly place.

You need to pay more attention friend. Kromer's faction was attempting to utilize ego like dongbaek, they just sucked at it so they mutated. I'm not sure what you are talking about with the glass? The absence of colour was entirely due to T corp.
K corp's singularity has nothing to do with the child of the galaxy abnormality, or the crying children distortion. The creature is presumably a naturally occurring abnormality from the outskirts.

There was a scene of Kromer and Sinclair going to the basement and being completely horrified, but it's not really clear what they saw there.
Sang's invention were the Glass and Mirror, I know the mirror was the ability to see alternate realities you could live (which is pretty clear why the Wings will want to shut it down).
While it's possible there is no connection to the original child of the galaxy, it seems to be too much parallel to be unrelated.

The clay tendrils which approach the vent probably belong to Everything Is, the Aberration of Nothing There which the Inquisitor's having been taken over by. They probably failed to utilizes EGO gear, because their brainwashing and usage of their singularity on the Inquisitors strips them of their identity and sense of self, they literally lack any ego or will to resist corrosion.

Abnormalities originate from the Well, the collective unconscious of humanity so you end up with Abnos like [Censored] and Dream of a Black Sawn, which mirror events and people but aren't directly connected to them. Censored is supposed to represent the Old L Corp's Singularity, a monster which produced Smoke and energy in exchange for human sacrifice, and the Swan represents the effect the Smoke had on people. The Wayward Passenger Abno is also a representative of Love Town/WARP train passengers.

The Prince is probably the Well's version of Damien, who also might also be Enoch. Damien himself seems to be either one of the wish granting entities/star gods beyond the outskirts or a representative of them.

And K Corp sold out Sinclair's village because it was convenient, they aren't interested in the Golden Boughs, or the L corp facilities that much. and Hermann/N Corp wanted a chance at the Golden Bough. So K Corp decides to kill three birds with one stone; getting rid of something they don't want, getting more footage for the eye, and securing an alliance with N Corp.
While it's possible there is no connection to the original child of the galaxy, it seems to be too much parallel to be unrelated.

Wow, big mechanics update from Project Moo, alongside double Banner reveals today.

For our ID Banner, we have Three Star KongLu and Two Star Talisman Sinclair; I didn't expect them to give us two rupture Identities at once, but I'm all for it. Other than that, my predictions are Gluttony, Sloth, Lust for Kongler, and Lust-Gloom for Talisman Sinclairstay the same,
Here's their promo video

The EGO Banner is a bit interesting; with Ryoshu getting both a TETH Red Eyes and HE Red Eyes(open) EGO, probably gonna be similar to Spider Bud's page from LoR, being Bind, Attack Level, and Defense Level Down, with Red Eyes(open) being an AOEas well.
Here's Ryoshu'd promo video

For some story speculation and spoilers on Ryoshu, the inspiration from her characters comes from the Japanese short Horror story, Hell Screen, where a man's artistic obsession and the cruelty of his lord lead to the death of himself and his daughter.

The Spider Bud Abno is about overprotective and vengeful mothers, with her legacy version even killing men instantly when they enter her room. Character's EGOs and the strength their ability to bring out from them seem to correlate with how much the sinner relates to the Abno, With Ryoshu(open eyes) having longer, more feminine hair and being the subject of harsh stares from Spider Bud basically confirms that Ryoshu was a mother who is responsible for her child's death.

For our by-weekly mechanic rework, Defense and Attack Levels are being changed, now a Unit's/EGO's DL and AL scale literally with their Level with them receiving a modifier such as +4 or -3, which increases or decreases their DL and AL.

With this, the gap in DL or AL needed for a clashing unit to receive a power bonus has been changed from a +5 to a +3 advantage over the other Unit. Project Moon has said that these changes to DL and AL were made to prevent runaway Attack Power stacking in the future by units with already big growth values.

With this Defense and Offense chaning status effects level have been changed, with them increasing or decreasing the afflicted's respective AL of DL by their count.

Three Star KongLu and Two Star Talisman Sinclair
Hopefully Sinclair is good, Hong Lu already has top tier identities and my guess the new one will be prominently defensive (which isn't that helpful when it's better to kill enemies asap).

Egos can be good, AOE/recovery/speed/and clash advantage are usually far preferable to every other effect.

In the meantime I actually time cleared the entirety of Canto 4. With the new identities I probably could have finished 4 waves in 9-10 turns. Also I think the Don N Corp ego is asking for a meme:

PJM just announced the New MD2 content coming on the 29th and the new EGOs and IDs we'll be getting this week.

rnewkongler.jpeg
The first ID Kongler is a Rupture-focused Tank ID, with a one Coin Pride Skill 1, a two Coin Gluttony Skill 2, and a three Coin Sloth 3. Unfortunately, he does not inflict Rupture count: but his Skill 1 and 2 give him access to the Sins he needs for his Dimension Shredder EGO, further increasing his Tankiness.

He also has the new Amplue effect. "Turn start: at less than X Count, heal by a portion of Max HP based on effect's count. At X+ Count unit dies." Depending on what value X and how much it heals, it could be powerful on this Tanky ID, the death downside is concerning, but Kongler can also (relatively)easily use DM for revival.

rnewtalismook.jpeg
Now onto Talismookclair; he's based around using Talisman, which makes his attacks inflict Rupture on hit, but after he builds up to a certain count of Talismans, he loses them all at the end of turn and takes damage proportional to its count.

Not really what Rupture needed, but he's an interesting unit with access to a Gluttony Skill 1, Pride Skill 2, and a Lust Skill 3. He seems to have too few ways to spend and cache out his Talismans and seems to be an attempt to translate Tremors build and spend mechanics into a Rupture ID.

This does also give me a new team idea.

Ryoshu's EGO TETH Red Eyes EGO inflicts Bind, Plus coin drop if X+ Bind, and slash fragility if faster on the target in that order, and is Lust, and has a passive which allows her to inflict bind three times per turn.

Her HE Red Eyes EGO is Envy, targets 3, gains power when Ryoshu is faster than the main target deals more damage if the target has Bind X+, and on Kill and Stagger heals Ryoshu and the lowest HP target.

The game plan seems fairly straightforward with these two, use the Teth to set up and the He to pay off on Bind synergy. Of note is that her Event ID R.B Ryoshu is the only ID with both Bind and Healing synergy and has both Lust and Envy skills.

md2-4.png
Finally, MD2 and MD content; now entry to all MDs will no longer require modules, but cashing out of the Dungeon will, with cost and reward increasing the farther you've progressed into the Dungeon; of note is that more EXP will be provided, but Shard Crates will no longer come from the Dungeon, incentivizing people to buy the battle pass.

MD1 and MD2 will now start with full teams and set the team's level to 30 and 35 respectively, with MD2 hard doing no such thing. Rest events will replace Healing events allowing you to Heal and change IDs and EGOs for a cost. Recruitment events have been replaced with Shop events, allowing you to Heal, buy EGO gifts, and change IDs, EGOs, and skills in exchange for a cost.

Other than that Misc quality of life features, such as Baba Yaga no longer being a Boss have been added.

MD2 and MD content
Jesus Christ 75 battle pass exp is pretty insane, if it's still 3 times a week that's a third of a battle pass and eventually around 140 weekly shards. Question if every dungeon run won't be a ridiculous 2 hour ordeal, so far I have never failed any since you'd need to intentionally die, especially once you get specific gifts.

Edit: Also like I thought, not a fan of the new identities. Wonder what the instant death of Hong means, seems counter intuitive for a defensive unit.
