ProjectMoon Megathread - Lobotomy Corporation, Library of Ruina, Limbus Company, etc.

Midway through the event but need to go to work. Holy shit I forgot how colorful the portraits are, it feels like turning Bloom to max.

Wondering if the warning sirens when doing rip space are just flavour or they trigger something.

new ID's are pretty good.
they take longer to ramp up than classic charge id's but they snowball pretty hard.
Yeah, I'm a big fan of their designs, both aesthetically and game play wise. I was skeptical of Charge potency focused id design at first due to Outis being a bit of an underwhelming first impression for me, but the Multicracks feel much better designed and well considered than the Charge Count IDs. Instead of feeding into their S3 they feed into their S2 which then feeds into the rest of their kit. They also continue the trend of IDs being focused around their Skill 2s and having other skills feed into them.
Although word of warning, don't use Fuast Telepole as it has anti synergy with Multicrack since it reduces Charge Count usage by 2.

I'm also glad Multicrack Heathcliff is pretty nice, usually these event IDs tend to be weak, but Heathcliff's skill 1 is average and his skill 2 has a forgiving activation condition and instantly bumps you up an additional Charge Potency. Unfortunately the Charge Potencey needed for his second tier of buffs is too high, but Heath's Telepole and AEDD should help with that outside of mirror dungeons.
  • Skill 1: 3+4+4 = 11
    • 5 Charge Count: 3+5+5 = 13
  • Skill 2: 4+3+3+3 = 14
    • 5~10 Charge Count: 4+5+5+4 = 19
  • Skill 3: 5+2+2+2+2 = 13
    • 2 Charge Potency: 5+3+3+3+3 = 17
    • 4+ Charge Potency: 5+4+4+4+4 =21
And of course Multicrack Faust is even better since she eventually builds up to an always on 32 rolling S3.
While compared to W Outis who has a hard time building up potency with Load being an underwhelming buff, at least her S3 actives at 7~15 count she has 2+ potency.

Okay pretty peak event, and I enjoyed it more that the previous one that felt less too much like filler. Faust without her all knowledge is interesting to follow.

Gameplay wise going unga bunga with charge will always be fun and the new IDs are great in both design and feeling weighty.

And that fucking ending man, can't wait for the next chapter.

Idk how I didn't see the foreshadowing with all the life drain / bleed on the ids and egos.
Honestly I thought it was kinds cheap due to the lack of story foreshadowing but once I looked at her IDs it made more sense as well. I think Don should have at least refereed to obviously older characters like Ryoshu, Gregor, or Outis as young as well, or maybe use other VTM terminology but that might be a bit too obvious. Honestly I've seen people post about Don being a Bloodfiend elsewhere before but was pretty skeptical.

She call's Meursault young in the time killing time chapter, and checks someone's pulse with their forehead in the BL chapter, and she literally eats raw chicken in the chicken chapter.
Also she literally talks in a completely outdated dialect lol. The foreshadowing is there in the story, its just hard to remember since chapters release at a snails pace.

We all just assumed she was autistic the whole time lmao.

I was aware of Don calling Meur old, but Meur also isn't a character I think of as being old. In my mind he's between 23~25 so Don could still be older than him and also comically childish sue to autism and trauma. I didn't remember the chicken thing so thanks for that, but my complaint wasn't that there is none, just that there should have been a slight bit more.

It also makes Carmen being weirdly rude to her in the narration make sense. Carmen wanted everyone to distort because she believes that it's best for people to be their true selves and stop suppressing their desires to achieve full freedom, while Don is a distortion who's been actively suppressing herself for literal centuries. She's basically the exact opposite of Carmen's wishes, so that's why the narration gets a bit snippy.

I also wonder if Don's moments of getting wackier than usual like how she mentioned her old team used to just beat her up until she calmed down are moments of the bloodfiend hunger leaking through.

I imagine her old team were Bloodfiend Hunters just for the hilarity of the situation

Correct me if im wrong, but I was under the impression that everyone but sinclair were at minimum in their 30's.
Also now thinking about it, the new information we got opened up a plothole.
How come dante couldn't sense something was off about her like he can for every other abnormality/distortion.

Of the ones we know for sure, Sinclair is 20, Yi Sang is 27, Gregor is 35, and Don is >200. However Limbus does have more time progression than is immediately apparent, so they could be slightly older by now. Late 20s for some others wouldn't be that wild to me though.

As for why Dante (and Moses for that matter, since we know she's currently working with Limbus Company) couldn't detect anything wrong, given that the other bloodfiend didn't know untill she transformed eirher I believe that however the distortion is suppressed is rather thorough about it. Don does want to hide that aspect of her, so it makes sense that the method picked would provide some defense against more esoteric methods.

I wouldn't be surprised that the Sinners contract with Dante makes them semi distortions or something.

Also I wonder when we'll have a rematch with the Fixers from the prologue.

Holy shit, this event was so good. PM just keeps rolling out hits.
I finished a mirror dungeon run before finishing the event so I managed to beat the event boss without encountering it in the story.
Overall excited for the new Canto.

The observation log for Sasha has Outis(?) say Roland's catchphrase. I'm not sure if that alludes to her ever meeting him. I don't recall his catchphrase being used before, but I'm sure someone can correct me on that. PM should add names in the observation logs just for convenience.

Sinclair is 20, Yi Sang is 27, Gregor is 35
If PM knows that the youngest sinner is around 20, then why do they keep adding "child" in every single uptie story? Translator be damned, I hope they get replaced with AI.

Edit: My brain has holes, I didn't realize I brought this up already lmao. Narrator is just a connoisseur of pepperonis and FatPat poster. :tomlinson:

I did the event boss in MDH and forgot to sell the white gossypium before going into the fight and it was pure misery. What would easily be a two turn fight turned into spamming anything that could inflict paralyze since otherwise you're dealing with around 20+ clash bonus every attack, and the heal on hit every turn. Even with that it was still pretty luck reliant. I was running Bleed+Poise with bloody mist and lucky pouch and everything was as cakewalk until then so it completely slipped my mind to check my gifts before going in.
