Another element I didn't really touch on is how the way things are depicted helps determines how bad it is. TLOU is more grounded and visually realistic than your average weeb game which is highly stylized and often fantastical, you're able to better separate fiction and reality between the two. Instead of watching two cartoonish catgirls you're watching two ugly dykes who look like they strolled straight out of the local pride parade.
