An invincibility mode on Cuphead would still not have prevented Dean Takahashi spectacularly bringing a-great-a shame on himself.

The sad part is that even if Timmy grows a spine and decides to fire this tranny, we won't hear the end of it as DF will be accused of tRaNsPhObIa, just like when Jessica Price pissed on consumers over the Guild Wars thing.

Actually, Heather Alexandra is a perfect fit at Double Fine because Tim Schafer is of the same disposition, going as far back as when he did his infamous Gamergate literal sock puppet routine at GDC six years ago. Tim undoubtedly approves of how the company Twitter account is being handled.

Journalists aren't skilled enough to unlock cheats. They can't even jump over obstacles in tutorial mode.

Back in the NES days we'd beat difficult games. It took practice but we did it. Too many win buttons now.

So much idiocy over this issue, but mostly on the part of the developer. They could have just said this is like good old fashioned cheat codes and then throw in some funny options as well like making your characters have big heads with a few presses of the button. You would be adding in more features which you can use to further market the game. Everyone likes having funny ways to dick around in the game.

But if they did the sensible option they wouldn't get asspats from the usual suspects. They can't resist the virtue signal or a chance to shine theirs.

Umm, Mr. Schafer, sweetie, I couldn't help but notice that your game is rated T for Teen. My little brother, about seven years old, wants nothing more than to play this game, but he can't because he's too young for it. Why are you deliberately excluding children from your playerbase? That's very problematic. Also, I couldn't help but notice that it's gonna cost $60, but I'm afraid I don't have that kind of money. Is this your way of saying that those who are less financially well-off are not welcome to play your game? Yikes. Also, my PC is as old as a donkey's balls, and the system requirements seem way too high for it. Why is this game so exclusionary to those with shit PCs? That's a yikes from me, Mr. Schafer. Learn to do better, please.

On a more serious note, I'm absolutely positive that, even with this feature, this game's still not gonna be as successful or impactful as "exclusionary" games like Cuphead and Dark Souls.
