Found the pic of his family to make sure it actually was his dad. They either age really well or just well preserved from the stone age. He apparently has a sister too and I'd be shocked if she was hot.

He's just doing it to be a contrarian, but I think I wouldn't call the Christmas special bad either. Everything about it has a bizarre level of polish for the time, it's just a nightmare fever dream on the level of Eraserhead or Andalusian Dog but made completely unintentionally. It achieved cult status because it reached a level of bizarreness that people actually enjoy. Meanwhile bad movies like TLJ or Phantom Menace are movies nobody watches anymore.

I'm not familiar with the Star Wars franchise personally, so I can't really comment on Quintons opinions on it. I am curious, however, if he actually cares about it at all, outside of clicks due to the new film coming out. As far back as I can recall Dr. Who was his sci-fi franchise of choice to sperg about. I know that Star Wars has recently gotten a bad rap for becoming really woke (and considering Quinton's recent output of Star Wars content) I have a feeling that's at least partially why Quinton jumped on the bandwagon in the first place, it fits his M.O. ( other than the Disneyland one, that was a blatant vacation vlog disguised as a review.)

Does anyone who likes, or is at least well read on Star Wars have any thoughts about this? Quinton has become such a cynical stereotypical SJW grifter type, that I genuinely don't know if he's being earnest, or if it's just another calculated move to attempt to cash in on a trending topic and virtue signal for social media brownie points.

It’s probably a little of column a and column b. Thing is, him and MovieBob both liked TLJ, but get super defensive and pissy whenever someone criticises it. To me, that suggests that they probably deep down agree with, or at the very least recognise the merits of, the criticisms levelled against the film and are being defensive because they don’t want their faith shaken or challenged.

He hates the movie because Kylo and Rey represent an "abusive relationship", Rose was (rightfully) delegated to being a background character, and the 2 black characters potentially got together instead of the mixed race relationships the other movies teased.

EDIT2: I just finished it and I'm kind of surprised Quinton sided with the popular opinion this time around, and didn't try to make some contrarian statement about how the fans are the issue and the film was actually really good. wow That film must be as much of a trainwreck as everyone keeps saying.
