So I felt nostalgia over Quinley and there was a video where I can say was a favorite, and that was the Scary Godmother review

Sure, it's a little cringe and amateurish, but I chalk it up to age and inexperience instead of forced humor and smug pandering. Dunno if his old pal helped with the jokes/skits, but there are a few that make me chuckle still.

I think both are plausible, but I will say there’s a general affliction with breadtube types where they simply can’t understand what it would be like to be poor. The passive aggressive slapfight between Quinton and MauLer has been the perfect catastrophe between two fat, egotistical manchildren who can't handle drama, but can't stop engaging in it.

Eh, if you peruse Jenny's thread you would see a chimp out in a blue moon over critics but it is a rare occurrence to be sure.

Jenny avoids feuds, which is why her thread is rarely active. The thread only exists because MauLer was able to delude his fans into thinking the drama he started with her was her fault.

But I'll give MauLer credit for at least saving face, which is how he gets people to take his side. Quinton's pattern of running away from his drama only turns more people against him.

Quinton has had multiple 1m+ view videos. He has a patreon that, while not pulling CumTown or Chapo numbers, likely nets him several thousands of dollars a month. He has, at least at some point in his life, earned a significant level of income for a man in his early to mid 20s. All that being said, he is still/once again living with his parents? Where did all of his money go?

I could ask the same about MovieBob. Robert pulls in 5 grand on patreon alone, plus whatever he makes on YouTube, yet he continues to insist on living underground. Staying near his brother and niece is clearly a factor, but surely he can afford to buy a house somewhere nearby after all this time?

Same is true for Q. Either they're all DSP levels of "bad with money" or... honestly, its baffling.

I know the discussion has moved on from this a little, but I think it's really simple, for Q and for Bob alike - they have enough money to move out on their own, but why would they?

They both seem to have very few, or more likely no actual hobbies or interests outside of media consumption and associated activities. Their job consists entirely of them sitting in front of a computer, watching movies/tv shows/videos, doing research, filming and editing. They don't need to go outside, they don't have any special requirements for their apartments. Most of all, both of them are clearly very lonely and sad people - Q wears this fairly proudly, Bob copes by lashing out and poors.

Basically though, there are no real incentives to move to a nice apartment and live alone, if anything, it's a downside. And for all their faults, I can sympathize with them not wanting to live alone, especially during the pandemic. It must be pretty soul crushing, and they should absolutely find something to do, but as with all cows, we know it's very unlikely to happen.

Bear in mind even most minimum wage jobs offer health insurance (at least in my state). Quinton doesn't even get that since he is self-employed. It's possible that he is on his parents' insurance plan but if that's true he will be in trouble when he turns 26.
