As an Orthodox Christian I agree, but it seems we have our fair share of fundies.

Also, I never understood why women roleplaying as Orthodox wear veils. In Greece you won't see that. Old ladies wear a scarf in their head, in remote villages, but it's cultural, it's not a religious symbol, and they can show their hair, it's just an outdated fashion statement
As a Roman Catholic, we got ours too. I think if they are doing it to 'show off' how religious they are, they're doing it wrong, because Jesus spoke negatively about those kind of people. It becomes more about them then it is devotion to God. If not, then it's a different thing, although nothing in the Bible ssys 'Dress like a 1950s housewife' but more of transvestitism being forbidden and or looking disreputable or worse.

As for veils, I'm guessing she's thinking of Paul's ideas on them, so not so much Greek attire but Paul's thinking on them, but I dunno.

Russian Orthodox women wear head covering in Church, but we don't wear them outside of Church. It would be seen as 'showing off' your piety, which is a big no-no. If you did, especially the way she does, someone would quietly pull you aside and explain that you must not do that.

That is interesting. I wonder what these 'tradwives' would think of that if they saw people just considering the veil as just a 'during church service' thing to wear.

I’ve never seen one wear a veil outside of church. Did I miss something?

It's a day ending with "y", which means it's time for yet another Collins child to be injured and medically neglected!

This time, it's the second oldest sister mom instead of one of the babies. She's fucked up her ankle or foot, which is covered by a sock and possibly some sort of black wrap, which means it was obviously the perfect time for a shoeless child on crutches to be dragged around an amusement park for hours!

At least she didn't bleach out oldest sister mom Anissa's skin for once?

What's wrong with the little one she's holding? He/she looks...off
The baby has prominent cheekbones, something we don't usually see in the States. Karissa probably kicked that one off the boob six months ago and handed it to thirteen year old Anissa to raise, so Karissa can work on getting pregnant again.

Karissa has MS, and she's been avoiding the effects of this so far by remaining almost constantly pregnant (she believes YAHWAH has cured her via prayer.) But she's 36 now and getting pregnant isn't as easy as it used to be; if she doesn't get in the family way within a year, she's going to start breaking down fast.

However, Karissa also suffers from mania and hallucinations from post-partum psychosis, which she seems to forget every time she gives birth. So it's hard to say whether it's better to stave off MS symptoms via perpetual pregnancy, or to hope she's finished birthing so she doesn't murder everyone in the house (but then her husband might go a-wandering because she'll start needing help in daily life instead of being bodily available to him at all times.)

Her sloppy skin-lightening here makes it look like about half of the kids have vitiligo. The girl directly under Karissa’s face in the first pic is especially bad.

Karissa did take (ugh, these names) Anjalie to some sort of medical appointment and purchased her an actual boot to wear on her fully broken foot. But the lack of paper on that table makes me suspect it's some sort of chiropractor quack and not an actual doctor. Her child loves to dance and broke a growth plate bone in her foot? Better take her to a massage therapist!

If you are not aware, Karissa thought there was too much sexy sex happening in public pre-k and kindergarten, and removed her oldest children permanently from school at ages 4 and 5. She has "homeschooled" them by making them perform 4-5 TikTok dances per day since then. But her 11 year old daughter can binge watch Dance Moms at home to the point that Anjalie wants to be a child star dancer for Christ? Make it make sense.

Is that a filter or something?
I genuinely thought all the children had some kind of terrible skin diseases!
The poor kids... Imagine living a life where it's your Mother is the one who is racist about your skin tone!
Why would she marry a black man if she hated brown skin so much?
