Community Quiverfull Movement Lolcows - Starring the Duggars

Oh God, The Transformed Wife. She's neck in neck with Karissa for being the most unstable.

There is not a single redeeming thing about Lori Alexander. That bitch is absolutely vile to the core. She just… ugh. She and Ken are two disgusting subhuman beings that make each other miserable and deserve every second of it.

She gets so offended by women wearing bikinis/thong swimsuits her husband offered to get her a paddle so she could spank women who dared show too much buttcheek on a public beach.

I almost hope she tries that so I could revel in the aftermath of her well-deserved beat down and arrest.

Now I have zero desire to ever wear a thong bikini in public but I would just for the chance to beat this bitch down if she dared touch me with a paddle. That's some fucking audacity.

She's a perfect example of a person who's already living the worst punishment: being herself. She radiates misery. Whether it's from her failed marriage or brain cancer, who knows?

The was a "Christian" man a few years back than was filmed harassing some teenage girls wearing regular bikinis, telling them to cover up, that they should be more modest, and so on. His wife was standing a few feet behind him wearing regular shorts and a t-shirt, and most people thought she put him up to it because she was a jealous cunt.
The teenage girls weren't bothering anyone, just enjoying a nice day in the sun.

Long story short, someone found out who the guy was, he worked for a Christian-based construction company, IIRC and he was fired from his job when the video got out.

Had to dig, the guy's name is Logan Dorn, and it happened in Fort Collins, Colorado.

He's the exact pussy who will harass young women by themselves, but wouldn't make a peep if they had a brother or boyfriend around.
A male Lori in the flesh.

I'm sure he was probably perving on them as well. Wouldn't be surprised if he end up arrested for noncery.

There's pretty much nothing that could convince me that Ken and Lori Alexander are not BDSM fetishists, whether they call it such or not. That's honestly the explanation that makes the most sense to me.

I'm waiting for the day one of her daughters/or son in laws say fuck this shit and decide they want a Divorce the meltdown I'm sure will be absolutely epic.

Sometimes Lori gets so batshit crazy I think she's pulling the ultimate troll.

I also hear differing stories about her children, some say she still has good relations with them, others say they have all gone no contact with her.
She's mentioned things about holidays with them, but she's not posted any pictures. Maybe I've missed them, IDK.

She was at a wedding/baby shower last year, ( can't remember which one) and in every picture that she was in, she had a bitter, mean expression on her face. Like she couldn't stand the bride/mother-to-be.

I do think those thong/g-string type bikinis that are popular on beaches nowadays and show almost their whole ass and crack are gross. The string gets sucked in deep in their asshole 🤢. She probably feels not liking them is a God fearing virtue but really a lot of people don't wanna see that shit, even Godless heathens. But assaulting them BDSM style with a paddle is just degenerate and would make everything worse. You just have to ignore it and don't harass them about it.

Fucking weirdo, there's nothing wrong with a regular bikini that covers your butt. It's not like they were dressed like the thots with the string bikini bottoms riding deep up their ass and those tiny, unsupportive bikini tops that only cover the nipples.

She probably was being a jealous cunt, especially if she was wearing t shirts and shorts. Probably felt she was not pretty or toned enough to ever pull off a bikini as well; so time to SHUT IT DOWN and ruin the fun for everyone.

Yeah, why else would a grown man care so much about some girls swimsuit choices?

I would wear a merkin and pasties to have the chance to beat her senseless.

And now that I have put that ungodly picture in your heads, please accept my apologies and some extra-strength brain bleach.

It's not exactly Quiverfull but I watched Sins of the Amish recently. The same shit with sexual abuse (particularly against girls) being rampant and rarely dealt with properly, and pedos being protected that happens in IBLP/etc happens in the Amish and other plain communities as well. When predators do get reported they even show up in court to support the predator (not the kid who was abused).

Rampant CSA and other sex pestery and it rarely being dealt with properly seems to be inevitable with all highly patriarchal beliefs systems.

It's super-common in the FLDS, too. The FLDS leaders are very much cult leaders: I don't know how you could call it anything else, and their version of being a patriarch is really just being a god. Abuse is rampant, and the insular nature of the sect leads to it being kept quiet.

If anyone is interested, there are quite a few memoirs written by women who have left the FLDS. Some of them are very good, but they're all difficult reads because of the degree of abuse and mind control involved.

I particularly liked The Witness Wore Red and The Sound of Gravel. Both were interesting and well-written, and they end up being interesting to compare and contrast because the two authors grew up in different sects of the FLDS. There's a three-way split between the FLDS leaders in Utah, Mexico, and Mexico (they all have different current prophets). The first author grew up in Utah; the second grew up in Mexico. It's just very interesting stuff-- but it's also heartbreaking.

FLDS openly make little girls marry old men. I remember when Warren Jeffs was finally arrested, and the FLDS actually got a decent bit of media attention.

Unfortunately I don't think a lot of people realize that kind of shit isn't limited to the FLDS. I feel like there's been less attention on exposures of fundie cults since then. Hell I'm still surprised the TN grooming academy hasn't really been talked about outside of dedicated fundiewatching groups.

I need to reread Katheryn Joyce's Quiverfull book again. She really gave such a fascinating snapshot of the movement at the time (2000s), especially Vision Forum before it all imploded. You can still find the old Vision Forum catalogs archived online, and reading through them is a genuinely fascinating view into the Fundie mind of that particular sect. The obsession with a mythical American past that mixed together ante-bellum southern belles, noble christian founding fathers, World War II heroes, and god-fearing puritans (and also Braveheart???) is nuts and weirdly fascinating. Joyce also watched all the weird moves they made, including Return of the Daughters (featuring the Botkin sisters), which are forever archived in the Vision Forum catalogue. The fundies that Joyce interviewed seem to have more of their shit together than say, the Rodriguez family, but very few of them had entered into the second generation of homeschooling yet at the time.
One of my favourite book titles in the catalogue has to be "Why Satan Wants Your Firstborn and What To Do About It," which is objectively a crazy book title, and only gets crazier when you remember that one of the reasons why the Duggars covered up for Josh for so long was because they genuinely believed that their firstborn son was destined for great things and Satan was trying to tear him down. Maybe one day I'll track down some of these books and videos and report back.

Something that's been on my mind and has made me ponder is the way how Evangelical men view marriage and their wives. I've rarely if ever seen any Evangelical man talk of his wife in an affectionate or loving way. Sure they upload photos of their wedding day and photos together but something feels off. There's no warmth or genuine interest. It's as if the "love" between the men and women has vanished and now the women are mere annoying servants to their husbands who are good for nothing else and nag constantly in their eyes.

One such quote by evangelicals that proves my suspicion is that marriage is "hard", which raises my eyebrows. Marriage isn't always easy of course and there are ups and downs, but if it's always "hard" then perhaps you are with the wrong person. And if it's so "hardest thing there is" and you make it out to be unenjoyable most of the time, then why bother getting married in the first place? Marriage should be something that two adult people enjoy most of the time. There are serious problems in your relationship if you believe marriage is so tough.

A lot of them married too young and have changed too much over time which might be why.
