BTW, I want to remind people that Michelle Duggar was once given a mother award back in the 2000's.


All because she got knocked up over ten times and gave birth to 14 children at the time. That apparently qualifies a person for a mother award. It really makes the whole thing laughable when you see her now. Maybe they can revoke it.

There are honestly a lot of psycho violent Christian parents. They're exactly as people have described them here. It's always the fathers who are a bunch of psychotic deranged and abusive tyrants. While the wives just sit there and allow the abuse, because they're told that the husband and father is the ruler of her house.

I've got a terrifying example of this that I witnessed in my childhood. One that never left me. It's an extremely fucked up story though, so I'll put it behind a spoiler. Read if it you're curious.

When I was a kid, I spent some time at a fundie Christian family's house with my family. We were visiting a family that my dad had connections with, when we were on vacation at another state. The mom was knocked up, because of course she was. She didn't say much. But the dad was insane. The boy that me and my brother played with was a very nice kid. When we were playing with him, his dad ran into the room and screamed at him in front of us. He screamed at his son and told him that if he didn't shut up that he'd cut his dick off.

The whole entire visit was obviously awkward after that. That father screamed that shit in front of us. My parents overheard it. After we left, my mom said to my dad that we were never going to that house again. Imagine what he did in private. And considering his dad had a weird obsession with his own son's privates, I wouldn't be surprised if he sexually abused him too.

Sometimes I wonder what happened to that poor boy. I suspect he has a worse life now because I don't know how you can get better from that. Seriously. Fuck fundamentalist fathers. They're all scum that hide behind smiles and religion while they terrorize their families.

So yeah. I think Rim Job's done some devious shit too.

Nah. I knew a Josh Duggar lite who left Christian fundamentalism and trooned out. Same shit, different toilet. People like that can go from being sanctimonious about bathroom bills while abusing little girls to calling you a transmisogynist for mentioning that they've abused little girls. I've seen it happen.

It's not a red team vs. blue team issue. Pedophiles will use any ideology, cause, or creed as a cover for their crimes. If you don't kick them out immediately, the rot will fester and attract more pedos, until eventually your movement becomes a pedophile movement. They're like blowflies.

Blanket training is insanity. Just having the baby walk past something and hitting them when they go too far until the baby is trained to stop. How is that not seen as abuse to these shitty parents?

I have to stop reading anything about blanket training.
Babies are naturally curious of the world around them, that's part of how they learn, and to deliberately stunt that because you're too busy being a baby-cannon is beyond horrible.

I get so upset and angry I want to fly to Shithole, Arkansas and forcibly remove Rim-Jobs genitals with a rusty butter knife.
And rearrange Michelle's face with a 2x4.

In Minecraft, of course.

Blanket training isn't just to teach them to obey. It's specifically meant to break them of their natural curiosity, interest in learning, and independent spirit. This is the first step in raising zombie cult members. If the kids never have independent thoughts, interests or goals, in theory, the kids will never stray. (or out the pedo molesting them)

I've seen people on this very site defend blanket training because they assumed it was more like the human version of teaching a dog place. The Pearls knew exactly what they were doing when they called hitting the curiosity out of babies something so innocuous.

Passing off the toddler children to the older siblings to care for them is also fucked up. They had the kid. They should raise it.

Instead they force their own children to be the parent.
 
Not that it needs to be said, but you could really see the selfishness with the Duggars having so many kids. When you have so many that your own children are forced to parent, then you need to give it up. And they kept having kids. They had a risky pregnancy that resulted in a premature baby with their youngest. (And like idiots, these morons left their kids to take care of a fucking premature baby that had seizures so they could fly off to some other country.) That should have been a "message from God" that they needed to give it up.

Nope.

Instead they pushed for another pregnancy despite the fact that the last one was very risky and dangerous. And they had a miscarriage. It's selfish.

If Michelle dies first, I won't be surprised if Jim will marry a younger woman to pop out even more kids. That's what fundie husbands always do.

Yes, in particular Jill Duggar. The family nicknamed her ‘tattletale’ as she was “always telling on her siblings”, this was later exposed as she spoke up about Josh’s heinous behaviour.

Josh the diddler even gave a speech at Jill’s wedding and used this ‘cute’ nickname. Imagine having to sit there on your own wedding day, being filmed for TLC, while your pervert abuser brother gives a speech mocking you for asking for help the only way your child self knew how?

I hope Michelle and Jim Bob die slowly and painfully, and then hell awaits.

Mild PL but I was raised by religious nuts and had similar experiences. It's why I'm an atheist today. Also gonna spoiler this story, cuz I'm sure not everyone wants to hear me sperg about creepy religious bullshit.

I grew up being scared to pee, cuz I was told god was always watching me, even in the bathroom. It was pounded into our heads that god could read our minds and see our sinful thoughts, and that we'd go to hell for it. They obsessed over us kids touching ourselves, called me disgusting for feeling things I couldn't control. That does shit to a child.


These people are obsessed with their children's sexuality, even once they're adults and it's no longer any of their goddamn business. They act like adults are little kids who can't be trusted to make their own decisions, then turn around and treat little kids like adults who are capable of consenting.
