Only certain countries. In Britain public nudity is generally illegal outside nudist beaches and someone rambling about naked in a town would be arrested. We have a well known lolcow here who does exactly this and gets in trouble with the law.

I (43M) get a call yesterday from my wife (44F) that my daughter (14) has been hospitalized for anorexia. She fainted while hiking with her boyfriend.

The associate (23F) that accompanied me from my office is relatively new to the firm, and I feel like I need to be there should questions come up on her end.

So I tell my daughter that I had work stuff I couldn’t miss, and that she needed to focus solely on herself.

She starts bawling and that sneaking feeling comes up once again that a lot of the destructive things she does is a ploy to get attention.

My wife accuses me of wanting to spend time with the new office hires, and for being part of our daughter’s problem.

Yet from where I’m sitting, my wife is the one who has been losing significant amounts of weight in the last couple of years to the point that she’s pale. Yet I keep my mouth shut about that while she continues yelling at me. I finally have enough and hang up before I say something I’ll regret.

AITA for not cutting my work trip short? I feel like if I did, I wouldn’t be much help in my daughter’s problem and if she is doing this for attention, it will only encourage her in the future.

I(27M) am the head software engineer at the company I work at. A women(let’s call her W) lost her two of her kids in a car accident. She was given a month off work and she came back in. We didn’t expect W to perform too well but W said she was ready to come back.

Everything is fine for a few days until she doesn’t show up for work one day. W didn’t show up the next week. I tried to get in contact with her and I couldn’t. W showed a week after her leaving and said sorry and wanted to stay. We let her but said to ask for a leave before just disappearing.

The next day, W made some homophobic comments to a gay coworker. I told her that her comments were very inappropriate and offensive. She then replied “the f****t deserved it.” I told her that this was the last straw and fired her.

She said I’m overreacting and that she was joking. I told her that she is fired. She then told me to fuck off.

So Reddit, AITA?

NTA, my sister overwrote some savefile for a game I'd nearly completed, probably Pokemon or something, and I got in trouble for beating her until she started bleeding, where's the justice? And then I got in trouble when she, in revenge, left a pile of dead rats in my bed and had to clean them up myself.

I mean, when their plan is "we'll just use other people's money lol", you can't give them the benefit of the doubt

This post in particular is so fucking hilarious... or, rather, the replies to it are:

Take note of the date here, because otherwise you might be confused about why they’re all opposing masks for kung flu. This illustrates so many characteristics of the average plebbitor in one single thread, it’s a fantastic case study.

First we have their strong tendency toward conformity and automatic deference to the “truth“ as reported by mainstream media. At the time, the prevailing narrative was that masks don’t work (but also don’t buy them because docs/nurses might need them). Of course anyone with even a minor willingness to independently investigate truth would have been able to discover from the very beginning that there is experimental evidence to support the use of masks (even shitty homemade masks) for preventing viral transmission. At the very least, the evidence has always suggested that wearing one is better than nothing. Jewgle Scholar is just as free and accessible as cnn or msnpc, but they prefer to hear information that has been pre-filtered by partisan hacks.

Second, it reveals their inherent love for circlejerking and feeling superior to other people. The OP engaged in a very respectful manner, but the brainlet brigade continued to react as you might expect — being cunty for no reason. This is what they live for.

If you’re wondering whether any of the commenters in that thread feel silly now for their comments or in any way recognize how susceptible they are to the whims of media narrative, I can assure you that they aren’t nearly that introspective.

So here goes: my wife (38F) and daughter (11) got into a jokey discussion about alien invasions and apocalyptic situations.

Then my daughter asks if my wife would protect her in this situation and my wife says “ I love you more than I’ll love anybody else in the world.”

Yes, she says this in front of me. My wife then puts her arm around my shoulder and goes on to say that her father- aka me- and I would use each other as shields against any danger that comes to her. Meaning she’d gladly sacrifice me.

At that point, I picked up my keys and said “ gee thanks- go ahead and start lunch without me.” My wife suddenly gets self righteous and says there was no way I could expect to choose a spouse over a kid.

Not even close to peak but for certain a real fragile jackass who really shouldn't have procreated. Would need to make a mention of all their various minority statuses followed by trigger warnings to crest that peak.

Hope the wife and child realize that when danger comes knocking daddy dearest is gonna tear ass outta there and leave them to their fate.
