People don’t want solutions, they just want to feel like someone else is doing something good or helping them (even if they aren’t) and being told that. What the people want can vary wildly too - “people” can mean so many damn different things and be a mess of contradiction. About the only republics to even slightly manage to contain this issue and last a long time have been the US (which needs reform to actually modernize and streamline its government so shit actually gets done) and Venice. And Venice is a strange beast you don’t see very often.

Actually anarchists want to create an environment in which exploitation is not the standard anymore. People are free to peruse their own ideals as long as they do not hinder someone else. If you read some of the actually well informed ideals of anarchists, they make some very good points about the relationship we humans have to money and work, and how we are manipulated into a system of endless debt. I do not agree with everything they say, but they do make some very good and interesting points about the state of man in the current era as we move away from survival based work into a lifestyle of consumerism.
The left realizes this, which is why the old socialist republics were governed by a philosophy they lovingly called "the tyranny of the masses".

Wages in the US have been stagnant for years, most people are in some form of debt, cost of living keeps increasing, benefits keep getting stripped away, and there's absolutely no political will anywhere in our society to deal with this shit. Most young people are looking at a future of poverty, or at least a vastly lower standard of living then their parents. I get the frustration.
