An idea where we live in a society without being forced in your childhood to go to school 8 hours - half of your lifetime, to a place you don't like. For me it was 10 hours usually. Without being forced to work for 8-10 hours or even longer. Holy shit, America has it really bad. But it's not like social democracies are better either.

The funniest one I've seen is asking for more time experience with a software than it's actually existed.

It’s almost entirely this. HR and marketing have no fucking idea how IT and technical positions actually work, they just slap down experience with relevant programs they’re pretty sure you’re going to be working with. Or it’s project leads getting ambitious and shooting for the moon.

This is from a far superior subreddit (I will not name here) who has more serious grievances and complaints.

This is bullshit, but requirements like that are typically used to farm H1B visas. No citizen with that kind of experience would accept the shit pay they are no doubt offering. I know the pain of software engineering job hunting all too well though. Practices like this should lead to a stay on that particular company from being able to sponsor visas. Even worse are all the "talent incubators" in the field.
