The Reddit IPO is going to be the ulitmate downfall of the site and the admins having to deal with this type of nonsense on an almost weekly basis must keep them up at night. A business built on trannyjannies can never hold, especially when their masters are shilling the site to the highest bidder while they wage wars on the virtues of laziness. Incredible.
When is the Reddit IPO?

Four words: long-dated put options

Reddit will eventually suffer the same fate as Tumblr. The community has become too toxically left wing, which has lead to a 'leadership' of broke, mentally defective people driving the communities. You can't monetize that, you can't advertise to it, and you can't reduce the operating cost of it. Reddit gold and crap like that isn't enough for profitability, and an IPO will lead to a lot of investors demanding removal of some spicier elements, tumblr style.
Tumblr went under because it was filled with cp and when that came out they had to say either no porn at all which ended up killing them anyway, or pulling the plug there. That's what did it.

Tumblr was dead years before that, they just didn't know it. Same issues - couldn't monetize its audience, both from a composition problem of being full of unemployed social rejects, and complete community hatred and avoidance of monetization. The CP aspect was just the final nail in the coffin.

And its not like Reddit doesn't have ridiculous amounts of CP and other illegal content all over it. They're not immune from that fallout, and it will come.

Latter. Suburban America basically has a hospice and heroin based economy and rural areas are even more fucked. Theres just nothing there anymore. Once industry left that was it, place is just dying slow now. Why invest in a place guarenteed to go tits up?
Suburbia is fine. Don't buy into the propaganda found in the many many horror movies about the suburbs made by people who live in LA and can't imagine not stepping in hobo shit and that people being nice and smiling means they're hiding a terrible secret.

All social media sites are filled with cp. What killed Tumblr is that it was impossible to monetize for many of the same reasons reddit is impossible to monetize.

As someone who used reddit a lot over the years I must tell you this is wrong. Reddit doesn't capitalize much from click ads, but what they really capitalize on is shilling products directly to subreddits, or even buying subreddits to control narrative.

Ads don't have the real impact that controlling a subreddit has on the public perception of the product. One example is the subreddit r/Marvel and r/Disney. They are payed subs that private bussiness have a legit interest in controlling the public perception of their product.

The same happens with the r/coronavirus for example. Plus they get a ot of money from advertisement companies when they sell data and, this is tinfoil hat theory, but China purposely bought reddit just so they could push their propagandistic ideas to the west.

That's why reddit culture is so censorship centric and so hivemind. Oh and I'm sure as hell they killed the founder of reddit too.
About censorship, I don't think it has a direct relationship with China. It's a global thing.

yes they are, but that site was particularly egregious, AND it became a front page national news story. both of those things together are a head shot. they would have slowly limped on along for awhile otherwise.

while there are plenty of legit criticisms of surburbia i find it hilarious how so many of the rabid anti suburban types are delusional assholes living in la or some shitty shared studio apartment in new york.

The can get rid of most of their CP problem by banning TardFinn.

HOAs and Karens are the root of all problems in suburbs if you exclude the urban sprawl (which is trying to turn them into the city).

I wonder, if in the next couple of weeks the tranny mod necks himself after losing all his positive karma, will we have Dream 2.0 case (minus the fake suicide) where multiple media organisations will try to take action against Fox for "causing" a death by bullying?
Hey now, for all you know, that furry troon necked himself on an 8 hour call with hector.

Speaking of CP, most of the mods in reddit (and the ones who orbit r/antiwork and r/capitalism) are actual pedophiles that defended Barfin and that one other idiot who last year came clean that he was lowkey a pedo (forgot the name of the degenerate tranny).

It is really worrysome that the same people who don't want to work are also in the same movement that the maps community and those assholes who pretends there is ethical cp or some shit.

I grew up in the burbs. You're lying to yourself. Everyone in my hometown is an abrasive asshole in a way that makes even New York seem friendly, and not only that everyone who isn't old is an addict or trying to leave. There's a reason for that. For real, almost nobody in my high school class who's still alive stayed. They all moved to other parts of the country. Because it's a place that offers you fuckall except a yard with nobody in it, an environment full of strip malls, and a fentanyl overdose at the age of 20. The only people still dumb enough to move into that wasteland are only doing that because they still believe the nonsense that it is a good place to raise kids. Their kids, like (again) everyone I grew up with, will either leave or die young. That or turn into the kind of degen this thread is about, because good luck becoming a functional human being when all their is to do is post on the internet, shoot dope, and wait to die.

Oh and there's hobo shit everywhere in that place the moment you leave the car that makes up half your existence. You just don't notice it because suburbanites don't go outside. And this was, let it be said, a wealthy area that during the summer is actually a tourist destination. Lord fucking knows why.

I can see the charms of a rural existence, I like nature and shooting guns drunkenly from an ATV plenty. But suburbia? Glass all of it, it will be a fucking mercy

Because their minds are so full of bad ideas, ideologies and beliefs, that there’s no space for critical thinking or rationalization. Reddit has always been a hugbox, and there’s no way those fags are going to leave their precious safe space that will villainize them the second they spread their dogshit opinions across the internet.

I'm pretty sure this was 6 patrons and about $60 when I clicked on this link 2 days ago. So looks like he made a tiny bit of profit after the Fox appearance.

Call it the Lindsay Ellis bump.
For $5 a month you get a personal thank you and the opportunity to suggest article ideas from time to time.

I say this aware of the irony, given my autistic ramblings in this thread, but the kind of person who spends all day posting about politics on the internet is always a cretin. Just the most ignorant, dysfunctional, narcissist imaginable. They feel a pathological need to be right about something that jives nicely with their obvious inferiority complex and gives birth to a greasy tapeworm of a person

The best part is that these people act like they make a million a fucking year or something.

Get real, they make $50k/yr at a meaningless office job punching numbers for someone's son. They could do the same shit for the same pay and 1/4 the cost of living the burbs or a smaller, nice city, but noooo that urban Culture TM*
