I've met psychologists, social workers and others in child-care who mainly work with abused children and developed a huge dislike for parents in general because of their job, but I've never imagined there were people who hate parents let alone kids so fiercely for no reason at all like these people do

I don't know, guys-- While a lot of the stories on the sub seem really farfetched, I think there are some that are, from experience, plausible. Plus, there are some pretty nice discussions scattered here and there about why people have chosen to remain child free, with actual parents pitching in here and there on the subreddit, too.
Maybe I'm just biased because I relate, but I kind of like the more dignified discussions on the sub.

I've always thought the biggest childfree kooks, not the every day know-myself-and-don't-want-kids people, but the crazy people over there who flip out about Harry Potter having children in the audience, were really just pissed off they couldn't stay kids forever. They don't like kids, because they're jealous of kids. They're angry that mommy doesn't coo over their art. They are angry they're not cute anymore. Etc.

The problem is that, like almost every fringe online community, it's a self-reinforcing group of assholes, and conversation degenerates from "here are some reasons I don't want kids" to "ARGH SATANSPAWN CROTCHDROPPINGS TALKED TO ME AT ALBERTSONS TODAY I AM NEVER GOING BACK TO THAT GROCERY STORE AGAIN!"

Nasty story. It seems that the relationship between these two siblings was already strained before one of them decided to start a family. There's so much bitterness in the text that it makes you shiver. Little kids often have rather disobedient and hyper stages, where they just want to horse around instead of listening to you. They're kids after all, not little adults in small clothes. You have to survive that by staying calm and fair (which can be a challenge, I won't argue that).

I get that parents will vent about their kids at times, but seeing shit like this (not only on this sub but sometimes on FB) irks me to no end.
