Most people can't handle it because of jealousy. Very few people are okay with their partner banging someone else. However, for those that are, it works, and there's way less drama than poly
Literally never seen it work out between people who aren't socially stunted or so fucked out and dry that they couldn't care less about sex, if they're not both high and coked out of their mind.

The issue is that thots worldwide are now taking on the concept of poly relationships to mask their cheating habits. I can see how there's a difference on lust and love, but if you're 2 years into a relation, fucking no way you're already over love without also being over your partner. Swinging is for 50 year olds, not women who had their first dick a decade ago.

I like seeing the occasional "single" posts that come up, the notion that a person can fail to get one partner let alone multiple, and still aligns as poly is something else. Just admit it, you're looking for an otherwise functional relationship to insert yourself into and fuck up. It reminds me of gay guys who fantasise about converting straight men. No1curr.

Yeah, I saw one where the chump had just been dumped, so wondered whether polyamory would be a better option. Uhhh, my dude? I doubt the relationship failed because there were only two of you.

Well, it does mean punching in a lower weight class, as a rule. (I speak metaphorically; the actual people are on average much heavier.) He might fare better among fugs, if he can stand it.

I can at least respect swingers. It ain't for me, but they are at least honest about it.
Yeah, they seem to just want the cheap thrill of an orgasm with a random person and no emotional contact. I can atleast relate to that since I was in my 20s once too.

Why is it that "swingers"and "open marriages" where the non-monogamous relationships are wholly casual tend to be older (50+) but people clamining to be in committed relationships with more than one person (polyamory or "polycules") tend to be young (under 30 if not 40) ?

"Swinging" is an older term, as is "Open Marriage". It was more common in the 60's and up unto the 80's, so a lot of those relationships are still going.

Polyamory is a relatively new 'concept' in and of itself, first coming to prominence in the Anglosphere in the early 90s. It's gained prominence as a vehicle of the LGBT movement, and as such, attracts younger people.

totally appropriate post about raising children

The comments on these posts are alike teenagers who finally got their dick wet. "Haha, I showed this to my girlfriend and she enjoyed it! Good night! I'm gonna sleep with my partner now, haha! You made OUR night!"

Can't make this shit up people. Rainbow hair.
Nothing says andro and bisexual more than a poorly dyed rainbow fauxhawk when you got two of the most boring white men for partners.

My guess is with age comes enough understanding of how things like emotional dependency and availability work. A marriage is an extremely taxing thing. You have to be 100% committed to it if you want a family to be functional and healthy. You have to turn off selfish desires as often as you can and always be ready to support your spouse at a moment's notice. If you're trying to juggle that with multiple partners, you're gonna step on soemone's toes and the only people who will allow it are the ones who know they don't bring very much to the relationship. There's a reason the people on reddit trying to fool themselves in to thinking their open relationship is equal across all the people involved always seem to be below average guys with desk jobs or mousey/chubby chicks, they know they're probably not going to be able to hold on to that relationship without compromising their own self-worth to make others happy.

All the swingers I've ever known that have talked about it just see it as being your spouse's wingman/woman for a few nights a year so you can have a threesome or a foursome where the guys try no to have their balls touch one another and then go back to watching shit on Netflix every night for the next few months. I think they're just trying to relive the excitement you'd get from casual sex when you were younger without inviting any crazy emotional response.

At least those guys have no pretense about it being anything but a fetish thing. When committing yourself to just one person can be such a huge struggle already, it's bizarre to think that introducing more people into the mix wouldn't take a huge toll on you.

For the first one, one comment is like "fantastic story to tell my husband before bed!"

Imagine that conversation.

"Hey love. So this one poly family on Reddit had their sex toy accidentally attached to their kid. Haha right? Night!"

Literal sexual deviant at risk of raping his children in his sleep gets cucked by a broke senior citizen, wife with severe health issues who is openly using him for health insurance gets intentionally knocked up despite 50/50 chance of pregnancy ending in death. Casually drops info that she is now about to die in childbirth while bitching about feeling judged by the LGBT community for being polyamorous.

I grabbed some highlights but his posting history is a fuckin doozy.
