After pinkpanzer left newGODS started reworking the mod from top to bottom. This includes removing a lot of the “wacky” stuff in the mod like Burgundy’s globalplans.

The original TrooNO, despite all the Vaush/Breadtuber influence from the Panzer era circa 2015 to 2020 at least played itself somewhat schlocky like an exploitation film. It was Wolfenstein Lite, basically. It at least had a unique aesthetic and identity.

New Devs however seem to relish in the fact that they have a monopoly on Cold War themed mods so now they're going full-on realism to capitalize on that. Despite the fact that TrooNO's Cold War doesn't exactly feel like one at all.

It's just three great powers fighting over who gets to economically dominate the rest, little to no actual clashes of ideology and it seems like ideology doesn't even matter since every fucking fascist state has a gay and cringe liberal democracy reformist path anyways.

I really don't get TrooNO's obsession with reformist paths. If you're going to play Nazi Germany, wouldn't you want to commit to being... Nazi Germany?

I only play Ironman mode, historical AI off. Typically I play as Germany or Italy.

and know how to use a navy.

Anything a Battleship can do, a Heavy Cruiser or Panzerschiff can do better and cheaper.
Destroyers are the backbone of any good navy and Submarines are a cheap way to destroy convoys and possibly heavier ships. Light Cruisers are good multirole platforms.
Carriers are honestly overrated as well given how long it'll take you to unlock good Carrier techs and only a few nations can afford them. Not to mention setting up Carrier-based aircraft production lines will also take a while and if you're operating on limited Aluminum and Rubber you'd be better off just making Naval Bombers and giving them some Heavy Fighters (which you should always have in production) as air cover.

Because Nazis are le bad. I didn't like that any of the paths for Germany where you stick to Nazism are bad endings or would lead to one but its a lot better than just completely side stepping one of the core aspects of the mod. I've said it before but its baffling that in a universe where the USSR ate shit not once but twice that there are still more communists out there than fascists, and when fascists do show up its always Nazism so they can be the bad guy.

I don't even get where the reformism obsession even came from. China IRL did reform from Maoism into Dengism but it was still a fundamentally authoritarian government that more or less changed in only economic policy.
