I agree in the sense that the programs in the East wouldn't be the same as we think of slavery (chattel slavery), though idk about the foreign guest programs but I guess Germany did still suffer a lot of casualties from WW2 and the West Russian War and probably the drug epidemic that ensued when soldiers returned from the war. I don't think it would be too hard to "rework" in the German update some time in the next century. There probably will be someone who will bitch about it whitewashing the Nazi's by having them seemingly abandon generalplan ost.

I wouldn't be surprised though if a part of this decision was motivated by some anti White bs about how Whites were never slaves, we see this with how riled up leftists get over pointing out that Irish and other Whites were indentured servants in early US. Though this is purely speculation, I don't use discord so I don't know anything about the particular user or other devs operating there.

Fucked off to the 4 corners of the Earth, either thanks to TrooNO meddling or just flat out removed for dubious reasons. Personally I think a few of them went to work on TFR but that's just my speculation.

Why are there gastarbeiter in the new lore? Unless they're going for a major rewrite of the WWII lore for TNO the Germany basically steamrolled everyone so there wouldn't be this huge casualty rate causing a labour shortage and with forced labour you don't need to invite in shit tons of people to go work in the mines. Also forced labour is effectively slavery, you can just reduce it to slavery.

They'll probably still find a way to have brown migrants flood Germany, just to own the chuds I guess. It'll be in next announcement for the announcement.

African slaves at least had the chance of being manumitted or buying their freedom. Compulsory labor in NSDAP Germany was organized with the implicit understanding of the laborer being worked to death as the most likely outcome, so this could be another case of TNO inadvertently whitewashing the Nazis again.

Doing a Trump playthrough of TFR at the moment to see what changes they have made with the last update.
Just ran into this event and I can't remember this being in the release version. I think its a good example of why this mod is so well made and why so many of us here and in the wider community like it so much, it feels like a return to form.
It's just a random flavor event, but I find the writing to be spot on for what it is. Imagine if someone from TrooNO even attempted to write something like this. No proselyting, no bullshit, just decent writing from the perspective of the faction you are playing.
TFR has been a blessing for HOI4 modding. I hope they can keep it up.

If I was Paradox I'd hire the dev team to make a HOI spin off set from 2000-to present, we're nearly a quarter of the way through the 21st century so I say there's enough history for a game to be made. Unrelated but I'd do the same with the Iron Curtain devs too.

Wasn't Nalvany in real life had very hard core racial beliefs before aligning with US geopolitical interests? Like he talked on this forum about wanting to wipe out the peoples of the caucuses and central asia.

His old beliefs can essentially be summarized as "we don't want niggers in our gay bathhouse".

I think Millennium Dawn could be made into a decent modern day game. The focus of it could be more on economic domination and proxy wars, somewhat like Vic 2.

Conflict could be split between regional and global scales. You would need to split your resources between units that could deal with bushfire wars and those that were ready to deal with global conflicts. Some support companies could be solely dedicated to local resistance suppression and resource extraction and resistance suppression, others to more regular Army matters like supply and maintenance .

I know that's how HOI4 currently works, but mods like EAW have shown that you can scale combat width/supply/resistance based upon what units are based in a particular operating area. I think it would be an interesting balancing act with how you using you EXP, where to spend your Mil's etc.

Hell, someone with the right modding experience could pull it off as it is, but MD is just a bloated mess at this point. It attempts to wedge modern day politics into a game that is designed around global conflict.

Yeah it reminds off the PF flavor events of the hish school getting a PF guy as thier teacher or France where you get the history of a Unkown Legion soldier going to fight around the 2° ACW,it´s those outbits that makes the mod feel alive and that your actions matter in game.
I wish NSM,ATW and etc get more off those events, luckly sub mods are coming out that seem to play into this.
