Plagued /r/TNOmod and the Reddit HOI4 modding community - When a subreddit for a video game mod turns to utter insanity

I'm not familiar with TFR lore (outside of the US) why exactly are China and Japan fighting in it?
The US exploded and Xi goes on to conquer Taiwan taking advantage of the situation. The japs obviously try to put up a fight and defend the island. Then either the japs defend Taiwan and Xi gets couped, or they conquer it and Xi integrates it. Then Kim invades SK and they duke it out for the rest of asia

Somehow in my Japan game the Eadi has almost 1k divisions. Safe to say that I ain't winning that one
I wish my EADI actually mattered.
I think Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos were bugged because they had 0 manpower and zero divisions.
Pakistan had 300 divisions but immediately folded to india.
Phillipines as well folded as soon as Australia invaded while I held off the indian and Japanese hordes.

Won by just putting my ships in port and let them suicide invade unto the Chinese coast while I grinded down the Indians and their paki puppet they got by capitulating them, it took 8 years and a lot of bodies

Yeah, the AI countries without content are set so that they have no manpower other than the one they start with. They literally have a -100% recruitable population debuff. The good thing is that you can suck them dry for equipment by requesting lend-lease. That's what I did in my Germany game.

Both GAWs (as in, from the chink side and the jap side) have been rather easy for me, but I can't win as Japan with the Taiwan defeat tree. The debt is so large that you can't build or produce anything, and by the time I actually managed to get it under control the chinks have hundreds of divisions more than me and almost double the troops than the entire PDTO

Oh yeah, I forgot about Korea. Yeah, the Second Asian War starts over Korea.
Pakistan had 300 divisions but immediately folded to india.
I've literally never seen Pakistan not lose both times if not supported by the player. I think there's a stalemate condition for Pakistan in the first India-Pakistan war where Pakistan doesn't get as bad of a peace deal, but I think I only saw that like once.

He's @Deer's greatest soldier
I love how people can actually pay $20 thru PayPal or whatever payment site Grisha uses and you can get your custom design drawn on a shell of your choice. 122mm, 152mm, etc. and it actually gets fired in anger.

It's like Fishtank but for war.

I hope if WW3 happens instead of paying war bonds we should be able to pay $50 to the embittered servicemen serving out in the war to draw 'YWNBAW' on a 155mm shell firing from a M109 at an OpFor position.

As thousands of German investors found out the hard way post war inflation can make your war bonds utterly worthless, but a commissioned snuff film of a drone dropping a grenade marked with the words "Only faggots will get blown up by me" will forever be worth (reddit) gold

I want to see the day when Pilots allow people to commission Art for their planes and you just see the most autistic shit imaginable being plastered on them as they proceed to carpet bomb Civilians.

That's also why COVID ends up killing off a lot of important world leaders. When they were developing the mod they did so with the expectation that COVID was much worse than it actually turned out to be
Also the main mechanic for fighting the disease being masks and vaccines, which when compared to nations that didn't deploy such measures, did absolutely nothing

You can actually just ignore it with the anti-masking paths. For example Russia has an anti-vaccine focus that will get rid of COVID just the same, the same with Germany, and the chink focus allows you to foment natural inmunity instead. It affects the political path that you want to take more than anything, really

Looks like Operation Deep Freeze will be the last major TNO update for the year.

One thing that basically pisses me off with development in general with grand strategy games (and really most games) is how devs think graphics will save the game. No, I would rather look at an awful map if the game's mechanics were fun.

Okay, minor pl. I helped make a map with someone for a grand strategy game. It took like 4 days for me to basically make Eurasia. The owner of the game thought it would do shit and was prepared to abandon the game because another was going to over take it. What did the other game have? Just a pretty map and he thought that the map itself would be what'd defeat his game. Pretty map =/= success. Turns out, most people prefer flavour and enjoyment derived from its features rather than a map to wank over. Look at vicky 2 compared to victoria 3. Victoria's 3 does not make it the better game. Sure, it is pleasing to look at a pretty map but it won't be the kingmaker.

I'm convinced these kinds of people don't actually sit down and play the game because they'd know that above all else being able to parse information easily and quickly is the most important thing, its the same reason why they keep adding dumb GUI shit to mods and the newer PX games have worse UIs.

Did I miss something or is the popular uprising against the satanists supposed to cover 99% of america and have 500 divisions?
