Having more 'bad end win states' in TNO would be a good thing, it'd be narratively more interesting and actually feel satisfying to not get some bullshit rug pull where you somehow still lose in the end.

I'm personally more into Goring being an actual NatSoc pragmatist rather than some made-up world conquest BS where you inevitably get nuked because MUH DERADICALIZATION.

In my headcanon, I always pictured Goring as like the Reich version of Khrushchev but then again I'm a little biased since I did like TWR's version of him.

Well, the Highway of Death is actually a war crime in MW2019 rather than the OTL equivalent which was just taking out retreating enemy forces (the coalition won too hard).

In an ideal world you could have both, a Goring unable to get over his morphine addiction ends up on Goring's Wild Ride and if he can then he becomes like you said.

Been trying to mod in new states into TNO for muh soviet kino, and what @GoodWinSon said about map modding really is true. everytime i think i've got it nailed down and the game will boot successfully i find another problem, like this time i forgot to specify the coordinates for buildings built in those new states. i've heard about the nudger tool but i'm not too motivated to try and figure out how to use it. anyways about the nixon mod, what i'm worried about is all the variables and flags and triggers, since i assume many of them hinge on the kennedy assassination and subsequent mccormack presidency. i can do everything else myself, i.e making focus tree and idea icons, making new events, writing new loc, but that's the one thing that's been nagging me

i've found out how easy it is to make toozers for toozer mods, all you need is an hour at the most and: a portrait, some icons, and a map or event if youre feeling generous. you can mod all of this in in less than an hour if youre quick about it. anyways, the nixon mod will probably be a months long undertaking but i've made a nixon portrait for the hell of it

on a more important note, it seems i won't have to do any patching to the tyumen mod since it seems like it'll be backwards compatible with the previous version of TNO, meaning it's also backwards compatible with 2WRW as of now, (and the next version provided they dont change the map too much)

Its kinda funny how while today's commies seem to sincerely think the Highway was against a civilian or surrended force (never ask them why exactly iraqui civilians would be in the middle of a military convoy running from a country they invaded), Chomski indeed believed they had won too hard.
No joke, his argument is basically "the coalition was too strong, its so unfair its a crime" as if its not what you are supposed to do in a war.
You dont win wars by dying for your country, you win by making the enemy die for his'
