good news, dynamic loc development is coming along smoothly. bad news, there's some fuckery going on in the code.

it seems minor anyways, if i really want to i could axe the dynamic names for non-communist unifiers but i'm sure it's as easy as looking some of the original code for the dyanmic VP names in base TNO.

strangely enough there's some states in russia that don't change names when i could've sworn they did before when i played 2WRW before. infact i'm almost certain that the dynamic renaming for these states exists in base TNO even without 2WRW, for example:

The eastern territories occupied by Japan and Manchuko also have different loc for Russian tags I discovered.

Also make sure you adjust the gcw code to account for your new states. Having a disconnected patch of land controlled by speifel will be somewhat awkward.

Yeah, I adjusted it already, I gotta adjust the 2GCW code in 2WRW too. I know the Eastern territories do have different loc in base TNO, but not all the VPs have them, for example the VP in the middle of Sakhalin doesn't have it. Anyways, I managed to fix the loc issue so now both communist and non-communist unifiers have different loc. If I wanted to tear my hair out, I could give Serov's Komi, the Aryan Brotherhood, and Hyperborea special loc but I'm not in the mood for CBT.

@GoodWinSon's system works well enough for states that don't have "state_control" effects, so that's why it worked on Grodno and East Prussia, but when it came to Poland I was dumbfounded since the names would change when given to Poland, and then would revert back to their German versions when I gave Poland a different state. Still, I can't blame anyone other than the TrooNO devs for implementing this when noone will use anything other than the default naming toggle or endonyms only (Which they don't have full coverage for anyways).

I haven't made too many new effects, but hopefully I can migrate them over without too much hassle.

What's the strategy to get Hall and Yockey elected as president? FR-NPP gets events that boost yockey but they never seem to do enough. I'm guessing you have to intentionally fail as a president?

I dont know how it works now but back in the day . You needed to get lucky and also fuck up everything that you could in US playthrough.

Electing Goldwater. Goldwater has a series of decisions and focuses that allow him to clamp down on the FR-NPP and the Marxist caucus, if you fuck that up they get a lot of popularity instead

Losing every election does it but there are several ways and you can hard script it but here are all the ways I know.

As Wallace you get several choices to make the NPP Yockey extremist such as going backwards on segregation but swear you could do it too with enforcing it even on the north. You then get impeached and Le May tries to reverse the racism but radicalizes the Yockeys more. I would pick that one as Wallace ultra racist to impeached gets you the racist.

RFK can get shot, Thurmond undoes all his good will, the left gets radicalized and that is L-NPP

MCS Margret Chase Smith can choose to side with Wallace or Harrington. Going too hard destroys unity and MCS tends to either side with Yockeys or L-NPP in order to fix it making them even supplant her in the primaries instead of her re-election.

And someone told you about Goldwater. He tries to use the feds to destroy the NPP, either focusing on the Left or the right. Whichever one you don't pick will be the one to come out on top.

That's all of them I know of.

Bit of a predicament: I don't know how to use TNO's name system. I've tried copying already existing code and modifying it for the new states as best as I could but nothing. There's one thing I could do, that is use on-actions for states that don't have the custom renaming effects and modify the existing effects for the states that do have them, but I'm almost certain that it's something to do with the structure of the effect code that I wrote. I don't know, it's got me slightly demotivated if I'm being honest.

"The first phase of the Young Yakub's New Jihadis project has finally have results.
Although former president Malcolm X and project lead scientist Trofim Lysenko sadly
could not live to see this day, but year's of their team's work has finally paid off. 9 months ago Barbara and her husband Bob Chandler, volunteer to have a child crossed with genetically modified DNA in hopes to create "New White People". This project has been not without extreme criticism and controversary. Scientists, philosophers, and political activists have debated the ethics of the Young Yakub's New Jihadis project as the new young boy and any that will come after will not grow up to have a normal life. However the boy's parents are confident that there new child is destined for greatness.

A team that works from the kiwi institute fruit farm and bird breeding facility will be monitoring the progress of this young boy and the future children of this project. Trofim Lysenko's team believes this is a great opportunity for humanity and possibly the future for human evolution. German defector and scientist Hans Asperger, who escape from Germany in 1945 with the original autism children, was also on the team prior to his passing in 1980. Still, Black leaders are optimistic in hopes that this will lead to better conditions for the Black community. All we can do is wait and see, however we have finally received news of the name of this newborn boy, his name is Christian Weston Chandler."

I always really liked dynamic localization, it was one of the reasons I stayed around with Kaiserreich for so long. Should honestly be implemented in the base game (better than the shit they did with Gotterdammerung)

And in my headcanon, another baby boy was born to The Young Yakub's New Jihadis Project on December 9th, 1992 in this TNO timeline. His name is Joshua Conner Moon.
