I think the biggest lesson from this thread is that you really have to commit to the tone that you want your mod to have. I'm sure that all the questionable shit (Hyperborea/AB, unnecessary Fash incompetence, crowdsourced nukes, even the wholesome 100 Russian LGBT rights, etc) wouldn't be nearly as big of an issue if the mod just didn't take itself as seriously. Equestria At War, Red Flood, Red World, and Thousand Week Reich all work because the content in them is consistent with what the mod wants to be. You can still have a serious tone and interesting events just don't act like your autism map game mod is a legitimate critique about our society.

Military commanders are not my cup of tea, but from what I read he was good by Red Army standards.
And thats a problem. Red Army was purged many times. It was infested with NKVD that had duty to remove "traitorous elements".
And as with almost everything under Soviet goverment . Position of power were handed to"good" Commie Party members. Who had no business be on that position.
But Žukov Is not important because he died irl in 1974 and probably dies in TNO as well.
And best part of Canon timeline Is that USA Is going to directly intervine on German side when Russians reach Moscow .
Forcing them to sign White peace leaving Moscow , Petrograd , Volgograd in German hands.

Russia and most eastern europe would be white africa. I think Anglo-Ameican/Nazi war got a better scenario, even with a western puppet tsar put on russia after 69 million deaths, including all the remaining government besides Molotov, russa is just a shithole, with the soviet rump state being also very weak and parts of siberia letting the us anex they. Same thing happens with Japan, who after 4 million deaths in 1945 alone (and without nukes this time) is still a third world contry by the 90's. Same with France and Germany after nuclear, chemical and biological warfare from both sides.

Russian Population is cannon at the start at the game to be 70 mil (the same level it was in 1840). Most of the population centers are under German control. And the infrastructure, national psyche different equipment, different doctrines. Foreign Influence. Like realistically Russia has just been beaten into the ground

But hey, unfication would solve all those problems, isn't like rebuilding the nation would take up to the 90's in the best scenario
