I'm probably in the minority here in that thinking TNO isn't bad (if you ignored the wankleft paths of course) but their work here and on Toolbox Theory's mechanics does seem pretty solid. Speer's Germany and their branches is probably some of their best prose, so I hope they don't go full autist and choose to portray the conservatives as devils or some shit like that.

Same here. My view is that if you ignore the trooned out writing there's a lot of opportunity to have fun with it and make it your own. Just look at RU-TNO.

As far I'm aware the TNO team isn't incredibly hostile to Conservatives because they don't seem to witch hunt the few Bennett/Goldwater supporters on the Discord (though the team might be a different case with conservatives being locked in non-writing roles). One of the side effects of having Nazism and (the few if any cases of) non-wanked Communism is that they can't go full "muh republicans" without seeming retarded, so saying that Bennet=Trump is definitely an attempt at a gayop.

Yeah, I played TNO a handful of times from release to November, mainly as the Russian Warlords and a few times as the US. It isn't the worst thing in the world for sure.

But there are some standout parts that are very much bad and come off as agenda smothering (see my post about Israel in the mod from a few weeks ago). I'd say at least 40% is good, 60% is utter shit.

Then again it might be because I'm craving any Cold War related games and TNO just so happens to kinda scratch that itch. I know there's other Cold War mods and even an attempt at a TNO-styled Cold War mod where it's just OTL but with the TNO style. Though they usually don't have much in terms of content iirc. Forgot what it was called, though. World on the Edge (WOTEmod)? I don't know what happened to that mod.

I recalled they had a subreddit but they closed it.

Im actually with you in this, a lot of post in this thread seem fake and like an autistic LARP of teenagers thinking they are doing some holy crusade lol, I hope this doesnt kill TNO because there are parts that are really good, instead I hope this just helps root out the leftards infesting it and ruining its potential.

To be fair most nations in vanilla TNO are written from the point of view of the nation you're playing as. Everything you do is great, everything the enemy does is evil. Same thing goes for fantasy mods such as Old World Blues. Everything your side does is written as if you're doing the right thing, your enemy is the evil one.
Now this isn't to say that you can't portray the struggle of the nation you're playing as, certainly having a less stable faction or weaker faction try to conquer the world should be more difficult. But here again there's a difference. In regular Hoi4 internal division, lack of resources, and just generally being a weaker power is portrayed with your stability percentage being lower, constant resource shortages, slower political power gain, a lack of manpower available, you aren't bombarded with events telling you about how your leader is having a nervous meltdown about being a evil fascist, and there certainly isn't focuses that just vaporizes your nation because a million slaves suddenly overthrew the government in a day.

There was nothing irrational about the comment made, even if the account is newly created. Half the accounts in this thread seem to have been made in the last month, and seem to be here primarily to either vent about the discord modding scene or participate in the shitshow. I doubt that artist is on the redux team. Yesterday the devs were talking about the plans for the Russian Far East and Magadan might not even be included. At least on the public channels, it hasn't brought up much
