racing games - no not racist games you fucking ni

If you play F1 2020 I would recommend the public events. those are usually tamer then the other Online races at least that is my impression. Of course some events are simple singleplayer events but the last was fun: driving in Monza with older cars. Driving in Schumacher's 2004 Ferrari was very fun

I just find that of online racing in general, either people who are really good and will be out of sight after the first few corners, or people who use the back of your car as a braking zone in the first few corners. Still playing 2019 as I know 2020 will end up on Game Pass, but it does look like a big improvement. I've always hated the tyre management program though, where you're supposed to drive carefully to not wear them out, but also quickly to make the target time. Monza is probably my favourite track, with Monaco being by far the worst. Trying to use a modern car on that track is like trying to watch a 4k Blu Ray on a tv from the 1950's

I know what you mean. I play mostly Assetto Corsa (also drivbing in a league) and some guys are so fast I refer to them as "aliens" If I try to copy them I usually end in the gravel or the wall.
Though the crashing is not so often there usually in the first lap and often more by accident. And we have a race commission who handles out penalties if need be.

And Monacco. Oh yes. Nelson Piquet 3 times F1 champion once said: Monaco is like flying a helicopter in your living room

Driver San Francisco is perhaps one of the most underrated video games ever and you can’t even buy it on any gaming console or even the Ubisoft website (they made the game). You can only buy a code or hard copy. Beaten it on my Xbox 360 over 10 times. NASCAR Thunder 2004 handles well and is the best NASCAR thunder game in the franchise.
Licensing issues?

V was good, it got shit for being "just" a Ridge Racer game when every game should be not only itself but also Gran Turismo. Still very enjoyable to grind.

Geoff Crammond's Grand Prix 3 had the roundest wheels.
The whole Ai Fukami vs Reiko Nagase shit was retarded.

Tourist Trophy is also very good.

With Forza Horizon 5 out for about a week now (if you count the early access), here's what's been going on with the game.

-The game's servers are still pretty garbage right now, as disconnects are common when playing online.

-As mentioned in that article about the troon that raged at the game for dead-naming, the game dipped itself into the woke soup, with pronouns and artificial limbs being a thing.

-The game seems to unlock most of the events for you, that it can feel very overwhelming with what there is to do.

-Horizon Arcade is garbage right now, as the requirements don't scale to the number of players playing, and is a major downgrade from the FORZATHON events in the past.

-The Ranked racing modes have been removed, which is probably for the best, since Ranked in FH4 was a shitshow.

-Some of the Stellantis brands (Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Fiat, Lancia) are not in the game, presumably due to licensing issues.

-The DeLorean DMC-12 finally returns after a long absence in the Forza franchise.

-The game has a Tourist difficulty level, which is pretty much the "Journalist Mode" of Racing Games.

-The new characters are all annoying as hell to listen too, as they love to throw in a random Spanish word during their dialog, similar to PeNdEjO mAn Manny from TLOU2. Rami seems to be the most tolerable new character to listen to though. And I hate that Timeless FM was replaced with Radio Eterna, because the DJ is also annoying as hell to listen to.

Overall, while I'm enjoying the game, I can understand why some people feel that the game doesn't bring much new to the table.

Project CARS 3 looks like trash. The player count is basically nonexistent. I didn't buy it, I would suggest you don't either.

It's a shame that PC3's decision to go more Arcade-like pretty much shot themselves in the foot.

Decided to try out FH5 by getting the 3 months of game pass for a buck. Last one I played was FH3.

I'll see how it is tomorrow I suppose.

I'm surprised no one mentioned the most popular anti gravity racer: Wipeout. I played the shit out of Wipeout Pure on the PS3. Trippy graphics, fun powers, good music and slick ui. Would make for a good drinking game with the lads.

Wipeout is great but outside of remasters and remakes it's a dead series. I would love to see a new one though, maybe Sony's upcoming PSVR2 can restart the series but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Some indie devs have carried on the vision of Wipeout though. There's BallisticNG that's basically the spiritual successor to Wipeout and seems to be really well received.

There's also something called Vector Racing for the 3DS by Arc System Works. It's literally WipeOut except it's one song that plays over and over again and everything is in wireframe only with a black background (NOT recommended to turn the 3D on with this game, you'll go cross-eyed)

Haven't seen anyone mention Dirt Rally 2 - some people hated it mainly for some DLC bullshit.

It's pretty brutal, and I've given up on it more times than I can count, but it's seriously great fun. Kinda strikes the right balance between realism and arcade-physics for what I enjoy.

Anyone remember that racing game for the PS3/360 with the destructible environments? I remember liking the demo for that.

ive been a fan of forza horizon, and i really liked 3 , but PG's crack down on the liveries and their lack of innovation , which while somewhat understandable , has killed my interest in it.

You know people. I'm not exactly a big fan of racist games, but remember one from my childhood. Came packed up with my very first PC, Pentium 4, pretty good for it's time. The game starts with cutscene showing us race location, participants etc. Then you get control over your vehicle, but i couldn't even move off my starting position - helicopter shows up and demolishes the car. Anyone knows what the fuck that game was?
