Containment Random Chris Updates

Unlike the girl who also won the same contest and shared her $1000 with all her classmates instead!
Not an unfair response, but in Chris' case those electronic vidya friends would never question him on his behavior or expect anything from him that didn't come through the conveyance of the simplicity of a controller.

Can you imagine Chris thinking of sharing his $1000 windfall with anyone? The point is kind of moot, I guess, because it's not like Chris had any friends at that point anyway. It's just such a massive contrast between the happy little girl and her classmates all chattering away excitedly and choosing games they can play together and talk about...and Chris. Who got a stack of Sonic the Hedgehog videogames with his elderly parents, and went home to sit alone in his room with only the video games for company (and no-one to talk about them with).

:(

In my opinion the main reason Chris wouldn’t share is his autistic lack of empathy, especially back then, I don’t think he would even consider it since he seems to treat people like NPCs in a video game where everyone should be happy the protagonist is winning.

It’s a chicken or egg situation to me whether Chris is intentionally selfish or he just doesn’t can’t comprehend empathy like a normal person.

Wouldn't him winning that contest happen closer to the time he had that recorded screaming tantrum?

No wonder he had no friends at the time.

By the way, as a collector of footage from before the year 2000, it's so novel for me to have 1994 footage of Chris in an early 90s shopping mall.

Chris has always isolated himself from anything that wasn't his comfort zone, and yet he blames everyone from trolls to authority figures for forcing him I to his state of solitude from the World

Yeah, anyone that thinks Chris is the worst person in the brony fandom needs to go outside some more. I had contact with some brony/anime types throughout high school and college, and they were just as bad or worse than Chris. They'd refuse to shower, touch people inappropriately, and just act weird all the fucking time. The only advantage they had was the ability to socialize with others like them.

The only thing that makes Chris unique in that group is the fact that he's been so intensely documented and trolled over the past decade or so. If you gave a lot of those kids the same attention, they'd end up somewhere similar. Hell, some of them have probably done weirder stuff in private.
Chris is more well known also because he actively put himself out there for the world to see. Most cringey bronies legit never leave the house.

Well this has been said multiple times but, Chris has autism and its a known fact that some people who suffer from it have a severe lack of empathy or more so dont exactly know how to react or act on it. To Chris it seems his emotions are solely based him and him alone. And while some of that is because of his own selfishness some part of that is because he legit can not tell what others feel or rather not know how to react to how others feel. To him the only emotion he's ever known or rather care to really explore is that of gratification.

But according to Chris, he was born "behind" the waters of Pieces, which makes him a kind, empathetic, and sexually attractive woman. He can read your mind with his powers, and Magi-Chan said he's the kindest, most empathetic, and setsiest woman in the universe.

Legit autists do not lack emotion. They have difficulty expressing emotion and reading it in others. With practice they can learn to empathise to a good degree, generally speaking. This is assuming they are not selfish pricks which Christine really is. Him thinking of him and how it affects him is what he knows and does because he wants to, not because he is unable to.

"or more so dont exactly know how to react or act on it. " Pretty much what I said. He himself is just a selfish person yes but it doesnt change the fact that he still has those symptoms. He is a double whammy of both being a selfish person but also having the affliction of not understanding at times.

That and the fact that Barb spoiled him so much, she took chris to the toy store and if he opened his mouth and said the name of something, she bought it for him as a reward. But this kind of positive reinforcement spiralled out of control. It wasn't long before Chris became overly fussy about buying stuff for himself because to this day he sees it as a "reward" for making such good progress with his autism when if there was any actual progress he wouldn't need to buy so much plastic crap to fill the void of his unsuccessful social life.

Why not both.

As a kid, Chris didn't understand. As an adult, Chris now knows better. He may not consider empathetic things in the moment, but any time he has the opportunity to look ahead and plan things, he's shown time and again that he's as selfish as they come. If Chris' debts were all vacated tomorrow and Chris won the lottery, do you think he'd help other people go to Bronycon? Again, he may not think of it in the moment, but when someone asked him or made him aware that he was in a position to help someone else, we all know what he'd do.

Edit: Just re-listen to the "Julie reveals herself" audio on youtube.

Chris equally wanted china and his PSN, and 100% believed he should get both because he "made the right choice" in saying he chose Julie.

This is also reflected in the comics when Sonichu is forced to choose between saving Rosechu and Chris from burning rooms. And because Sonichu made the right choice, they both got saved.

He took the"secret test of character" trope litteraly and thinks things always work out the way they do in (bad) children's media.

It's almost like how Bojack horsemen thought it was going to work with that old friend of his who was dying of cancer. All it would take was one day together and they'd be best buds again because that always happened on his show horsin around.

What? The fuck?

I still don’t think Chris comprehends empathy in the same way a normal person does, he has a better understanding of what he should do but like with the :julay: example you gave it’s likely just based on cartoons or sitcoms he’s watched.
