Containment Random Chris Updates

Back in school, a teacher who was probably sick of dealing with Chris not being able to have an original thought in his mind told Chris that he could get away with Sonichu for a mere school art project.

Fastforward nearly three decades, and Chris is now pretending to be possessed by his self-professed son Sonichu, with an entire well-documented online history of how central that character always has been to his life (fading in and out but never leaving).

I don't think there's a finer example of the influence somebody can have on other people than simply wondering how different Chris's life would have been had that teacher not given Chris the easy way out of the assignment and told him Sonichu was not original.
He asked his dad about it “an expert on copyright” I think his dad was just like “Oh yeah sure, that’s a parody character so technically it’s original, here I’ll write a letter.” And the teacher was like “I mean it is technically... I just don’t want to deal with this anymore. It’s kind of a funny story, I’ll tell my friends about how this kid wanted to use Sonic, then Pikachu, and then combined the two and made this funny character. I’ll give him a break though because he’s got a learning disability. He’ll probably forget all about it in like a month.”

Poor teacher.... you really do show what happened to the American School System.

It's ironic that he claims to be a creative artist by drawing comics all day about characters he didn't create. Almost all of the characters are just other characters from all over the place. Even the jokes said by characters are usually weird quotes that are out of context and have no meaning because Chris heard them on the Flintstones or wherever else and didn't know what they mean. It's like he doesn't know what a joke is so just copy-pastes whatever he hears into his comic. The main character is technically original in the most stupidly shallow meaning of the word, the only reason it exists is because his teacher forced him to create something "original". Otherwise he would've just made comics about Sonic or whatever other children's cartoon character he likes (which is all of them).

You would think that if he has and still is spending this much time on "dwauring" or whatever then he would create something his own. Maybe that's why he cherishes and is so defensive about Sonichu, it's the only thing he's created that's original and I guess has control of.

Remember though this is a man with insane brand loyalty. He literally has a custom Pokémon card where you ask the opponent if they like Harry Potter more than Pokémon and if they say yes or even imply they might all their cards faint. He hated Harry Potter. Simply because Harry Potter was taking away attention from Pokémon which he remains a huge fan of. He spergs about MLP and even made one comic just about that... and it sucked. He’s got no real creativity like at all. It’s just him roleplaying as his favorite characters from various shows and combining them when it suits his needs. And characters he doesn’t like? Oh well fuck them. Sometimes these characters are real people, actually all of them are.

Chris graduated in 2000 and the class he was taking that resulted in Sonichu being "created" was during his senior year, so 1999-2000. So Sonichu isn't even quite 21 years old yet. I know Chris looks like he's on the downhill side of his 60s already, but let's try to keep facts straight.

Senior year? Man, I was thinking it was fifth grade!

From what we saw with his "A Week With Christian W. Chandler" project, he largely, was disengaged with his classes, sleeping through them. Whether this was because the teachers just didn't care that Chris was sleeping or they knew from personal experience not to rouse the tard bear from his slumber is up to debate. In any case, the teachers knew to give Chris a nice push through his classes so they wouldn't have to deal with him for another semester. His Computer Graphics teacher probably learned this the hard way when after what I'm sure was a good chunk of class trying to convince Chris not to put a blue hedgehog on his CD cover, they were contempt with him using a yellow hedgehog instead. If only they knew what autistic turmoil their decision wrought.

The first cover was Sonic doing some pose or something. The second was Pikachu and his Original Pokémon (Like Espanolic who ironically basically made it into the game as some character, and Plautistic, an Autistic Plant monster) and the teacher was like “no Pikachu is a copyright of Nintendo”, but Chris was like “But he’s with my custom Pokémon!” “No you have to make your own character.” And then it donned on him, make Sonic a Pokémon, Meowth talks in the show so maybe he can too. And give him all the best electric powers. And then, suddenly the entire franchise was born. Now we are (blessed) with Sonichu, the Electric Hedgehog monster. And then Chris was like “Hey I don’t want his only friends to be a Sombrero Plant that can’t speak English and I’m the only Autistic person who matters. I’m gonna give him a wife.” And that’s how we got Rosechu (not at all a rip off of Amy Rose), who for sure doesn’t have a penis okay? That’s like off limits, don’t even talk about that, and then he thought “Man I wish I had friends. Oh wait, maybe I can make more Sonichus” so he did and the only one even remotely original is Punchy.... also Jamsta looks funny and boom! You have all the Sonichus before Idea Guys showed up. Also his dog died and he made her a character because he was sad, and he also just has random other characters. And there’s a black man who gets arrested for smoking weed, and a Squirtle that can somehow yawn under water, and one of his counselors wants him dead and so do an assortment of security guards and... uhhh managers of businesses. But the plots there.

Sonichu ceases to be the main protagonist early in the comic because Chris reconnected with a friend of his and she had recently broken up with a boyfriend Chris harbored jealousy towards. He made the comic less about Sonichu and more about his personal life. Even before trolls discovered him in earnest he decided to make Reldnach a Homosexual because his own latent feelings were there to some extent. And then well trolls found him and had a field day with his comic and now, they’re allied to the Counselor or dean and the security guards and the managers of that one McDonalds/Wal-Mart. And now Chris has to kill them all. But he’s in a mirror because he upset Megan and all the Sonichus are trying to save him. And then Magichan could literally do this whenever but he doesn’t and....

And this comic is for kids but there’s a lot of sex, like a ton, and Furry Shemales born on the moon, and lessons in anatomy. And there’s an Angry Weasel Monster that wants to kill the Red one because he got the girl he liked but the Nun whos Church sounds Protestant gets him instead... those are funny. Also all his ex girlfriends die in gruesome ways or just vanish.

Well he gets out and saves the world and uses his blood so everyone becomes straight. Somehow. And then he’s like “Hey you guys made fun of me I’ll use rock music about Power Rangers to destroy this building.” And the devil is there, for some reason. And the people inside die. And then His totally original character gets Jihaded and he has a mock trial and kills these 4 guys who made fun of his comic.

Then all the kids become transgender or gay and he also does and like, does Christmas shit. And the Black one thinks he has nice boobs even though he’s just fat. Then in another there’s a SLGBTQ parade which makes no sense, and we find out he impregnated himself and doesn’t really care about his kids and hands them off to a Hispanic Stroke Victim, and then there’s Ponies in one comic and Nazis in another. And his dads also still alive and hangs out with a serial rapist/murderer and Rosechu actually isn’t a girl and used to have a penis, so now the whole family is gay and uh, he fucks Sonichu. Also Sonichu shoots up the mall. And uhhh, he’s like a Goddess now married to the Furry Shemale, the Purple recolor, an underaged child, and a Pokémon.

And that’s what the CD cover created. That’s what it made. Yay.

Doubtful they'd have any memories of that by now. Most teachers remember the most notable students from their different classes for life, and Chirs would certainly be a... notable guy, in a way. So they may remember him, but I don't think there's many chances they remember that one yellow cartoon thing from that one assignment more than 20 years ago.
Also it's highly likely that this teacher was an old and/or out of touch person who only knew those "Pokemons" and those "Sonics" as that new thing from the vidyagames and chinese cartoons kids like.
I can kind of see this going like that one Simpsons episode where they have a yoyo show on the school, and on the following days the teachers get absolutely sick of every assignment being done about yoyos.

Chris' brain is basically Ready Player One, where there isn't a single original asset, a huge mishmash of consumer content and familiarity.

And a pretentious air about how awesome it is the main character knows all this obscure 80s video game bullshit? I couldn't stand the book and I heard the movie was terrible.

It's an acquired taste, the movie I've heard isn't nearly as pretentious and really if you can put aside the reference overdosing and if you like what's referenced or not, it's a very love it of hate it movie that speilburg did all he could with it.

And anyway unlike sonichu/chris's brain at least RPO is nice to look at, tells a cohesive story from beginning to end, and all the references it makes are relevant to the plot and have a point. Not just one random reference after another because lolz.

I mean, at least Ready Player One attempted create something new out of that shitty smorgasbord of references. This feels closer to Pixels in my opinion.
Ehh at least the VFX artists from Pixels had some kind of passion for Atari and other 1980s video games. With Sonichu its not because Chris had a passion for Sonic, Pokemon, MLP, and all the other franchises he rips off, its because those are the only stories he knows. RPO and Pixels were made by people who had some kind of understanding of other stories but chose to focus on 80s pop culture. With Chris these are the only stories he knows so he just slavishly attempts to recreate them with his cartoon hedgehog knock-offs.

To paraphrase a kiwi classic only on here can a comment chain about Chris's lack of creativity turn into an attempt to defend the honor of pixels and ready player one.

But yes while those movies may he just Sony AMD Warner trying to make their own wreck it Ralph or is still better than anything that rotten mushy, hole riddled block of swiss cheese Chris calls a brain can conjure up.

When you get right down to it, Chris is still a young child mentally. Everything Chris enjoys is geared towards small children by being very simple with clear, obvious themes with absolutely no ambiguity. Transformers, MLP, Sonic, etc. all feature essentially the same story beats and structure: bad guys hatch evil plan, good guys discover evil plan, good guys confront bad guys, bad guys are defeated and good guys monologue about how crime doesn't pay. There's no complexity, no ambiguity, no gray areas. Everything is clearly and concisely spelled out so the children will easily understand the message and be able to recount the story later with their toys. Anything more complex would only confuse and upset Chris, so he avoids those kinds of stories.
