I'm totally fine getting :optimistic:s for this, but I really don't think this is impossible.
To this day Chris genuinely believes that his protest made Sega bring back old Sonic , and he TECHNICALLY didn't get arrested for the protest itself. It makes perfect sense for a retard, and I feel like that's a risk Chris would be totally willing to take if he thinks it can save a franchise he loves.

I really feel like whether or not Chris does something about it depends entirely on which way his current handlers decide to push him.

It’s not just saving the franchise, he’s somehow convinced himself they’ll be a global disaster if more series aren’t made:

You're giving him way to much credit.
Like how Sonic has been a part of his life for the past 35 years, FiM isn't going anywhere anytime soon. If anything, his hatred for the next series will only further fuel his obsession for G4. It's funny how these series designed to teach children happiness and to be a good person have turned Chris into this pathetic monster filled with hate, revenge, delusion and self-importance.

Fans were able to protest hard enough to convince Paramount to fix Sonic’s terrible movie design, so it’s not hard to believe he could make the same thing happen with ponies.

Seriously though, I can’t wait until his favorite brony content creators move on. He’ll be begging them non-stop to keep shit going for a long long time. I’d like to think that when major pony conventions are no longer being held he decides to screw everyone else and host his own at 14BC. Maybe even beg the voice actors to show up. He could do it right now if he wanted to since virtual cons are the big thing now.

Although you are forgetting that Hasbro have straight up said that they do not care about the Brony community because they have never been the target demographic and never will be for them. So if Chris is still going to stir up drama about not getting his way with whatever Pony shit he wants, it won't ever end how he wants it to be with him. So be prepared to hear him banging on this sort of stuff for a while on twitter, since he doesn't do anything else and he's just giving himself a reason to hate an "alternative universe" take on a franchise he supposedly adores, despite how obsessed he is with other dimensions and OCs from other universes related to other franchises he's familiar with etc.

No, I'm saying even if it's a fruitless effort, the fact that fans were able to get Sonic's design fixed, then Chris might assume he has the same level of clout to be able to convince Hasbro to stick with Gen 4.

Sometimes, this even happens right on the very same panel itself, like when one of Sonichu's children killed a Jerkop and wanted to take a morbid pic holding the body and Chris avoided all responsibility (even expressed disgust) in a narration box by saying it was "HER IDEA".
