Good catch. I'm unsure of where someone got that photo in full resolution. I have all photos posted on that wiki page. These images are from 2008 but were on his profile until 2021. They were uploaded to the CWCki in 2015 I'm sure there's also a lot of pictures in the same vein that weren't ever shown publicly. I'll post more soon.

Can someone find a source for those images that are already public? They are exactly identical to the ones that I have, so the only way someone could have gotten them is to have had access to his PS3 physically, CWC sent them to someone else as an attachment, someone took a screenshot using a capture card and cropped it, or it was retrieved from LBP.me when it was still online. I imagine it's the latter because the images are literally identical. The original filesize is 94.8kb and the size of that version is 10kb.

Asking yet again, how did you come about acquiring this data?

Okay? So you’re directly admitting that you’ve at least had contact with Chris, his PS3, or someone who would’ve done a dump of the hard drive sometime before at the very least 2024. If you’re so worried about dumping everything due to “opsec”, wouldn’t drip feeding it be the same thing? Unless you’re still involved in a ween ‘cord and are threatened by dox for releasing everything I just don’t see why it wouldn’t be a big deal to collect as much interesting information you can garner from this data, and then posting it all at once. I’m just curious, especially since you’re still posting images despite claiming a post or two ago that we’d soon be seeing audio messages from Chris to other people. The reason you’re getting so much push back is because of this faggy drip feeding information, just dumping anything you had from the start would’ve given more credibility.

Interacting with Chris, and opsec are two mutually exclusive concepts. I'm wondering if it's out of fear someone will reach Chris and ask if anyone did a backup of Chris' PS3.

I mentioned it a bit earlier, but I do think it'd be very possible to convince Chris to consent to having someone backup his PS3 data. The PS3 had a function that'd port your data from a PS3 to another PS3, or more pertinently a storage media or USB.

This is one thing I do remember as someone who played the shit out of the PS3, it was my last actual console and towards the end of my play-time with it I ended up modding it with custom themes and such that people online made. The Orange Box TF2 on PS3 for example ended up becoming a wasteland with modded zombie game modes, hackers, and people just fucking around with whatever mod menu the users could finagle into working on a usb. It was incredibly easy to either extract data, or put custom data on the already formatted drive. Excuse me if I’m wrong about certain things, even though I loved the PS3, I played it quite literally decades ago at this point and even though I still have my old one, it’s data is corrupted and it won’t run at all anymore even after a factory reset.

I think the freedom the PS3 offered is what really makes this a perfect storm for this situation to occur. The PS3 had a lot of trust in the user compared to later consoles, and it was billed as almost a weird Frankenstein of PC, BluRay Player and Console. Even kids games like LittleBigPlanet would freely let the user upload whatever they wanted.

We're never gonna get the same kinda leaks out of PS4 or PS5. Just as we'll never get another Chris Chan, it's all a product of its time.

It’s almost funny to me that all this PS3 shit is happening now, as just recently I was pondering how much of the PlayStation Home and Axe collaboration inspired Chris to be in even more love with both brands. The data is likely hard to retrieve if the software has been updated, but I wonder if @friendofcoal can provide any data about purchases made on that game through the same method as the “LBP launch shirt” screencap they had a few posts ago. We do know Chris played PSHome somewhat in the time period these leaks would have taken place, there’s even a convenient article on the CWCki about an event/club he hosted through the game in 2009 (https://sonichu.com/cwcki/Sonichu_Home_Club).
