Chris never had his tugboat terminated while in jail and it was confirmed by Praetor. His pattern of spending shortly after release also suggests so. This means he has spent 19 months worth of saved tugboat alongside his 19 months of normal tugboat, effectively doubling it. He has also got livestream money and some part of the sales. Now, a lot of that went to Caden and he really didn't spend that much himself, but it is well enough to cover the cost of flights. If Chris wasted all of his, Flutter could probably cover the costs because she def has the money to fly to USA by herself so much.
You know, I've never really done a rough breakdown of where Chris' income goes. And in this case, when I say 'rough', we're talking about a figurative 40-grit sandpaper condom.
The saved tugboat has to be exhausted - or at least pretty close to it - by now. The last solid figure we had for it was in 2014, when it was $1300/month. Assuming it's up to $1500/month by now, 19 months of unspent gubmint fun bux comes out to $28,500. Figuring on his two largest known expenses since he was released at the end of March, 2023 (let's call it April 1st for easy figuring and lolz), we can work out how much of that he may have had at his disposal since then.
He bought a car when he got out of jail; that's $3500 right there. $25K remaining.
Let's say that he and Flutter went Dutch on the flights and each paid for their own airfare. As far as I know, he's been there 3 times. At today's economy seat rates through Expedia, booking a round trip from Lynchburg, VA to Helsinki, Finland, outbound on 02/13/2025 ('cos he's so romantic) and returning on 03/14/2025 is about $750 for the least-expensive flight. Given that China might be involved, I'll grant him the benefit of the doubt that he'll roll his fat ass out of bed early enough to make the cheap 5am flight out of Lynchburg. $2250 in travel, so we're at $22,750.
$22,750 divided by 21 months since his release comes out to an average of $1,083.33 per month in available income. We can knock about another $100 off of that since he has made reference to having two phones; I'm assuming that he's not with some shitty MVNO like Cricket or Boost. That takes us to $983.33/month, or about $245.83/week.
There's no telling if Barb was still paying the mortgage on 14BC out of the tugboat or not, so I'm going to disregard that for now. If she was, he'd be left with around $80/month plus whatever percentage of trinket sales he received, and there is no way in hell that Chris could live on that. Given how much of an unknown it is, it's being ignored.
What he would have spent in Finland is unmeasurable, but whatever it was it was almost certainly more per item than he would've spent in the US. Also ignoring.
We know that he has continued to buy toys (specifically Transformers), so some of it's going down that toilet. Still an unknown, still uncounted.
So, $245/week. That's less than half of what unemployment pays. Being super generous, let's double that number to $490/week ($1960/month) because Praetor had a really good sales month on Sonichu merch.
If the amount that his 'mortgage' runs to ($1000/month) is to be believed, he's back to $960/month, or around $240/week.
We know that he can't budget for shit, buys toys and other things he doesn't need, puts fuel in his car ($2.75/gallon in Lynchburg; 10-gallon tank; $27.50/tank), and eats out regularly. The only one of those that can reasonably be quantified is fuel, and since he lives in Big Island where absolutely nothing happens, he's gonna be running back and forth to at least Lynchburg multiple times per week. For easy figuring, he goes through a tank a week. That takes him down to $850/month, or $212.50/week.
So there's around $850/month unaccounted for. Bills will take up a portion of that, as will Wal-Mart, online purchases, etc. Going conservative on this, that's $350. So $500/month, or $125/week.
19 months of unspent tugboat at $500/month means that there's around $9500 in tugboat unaccounted for in nearly two years. That's easily blown through by his poor financial decisions over that timeframe.
Even playing fast-and-loose with the figures as I have here, seeing that he's potentially wasting that much per month on ugly leggings and MLP shit really shows how much lack of ability to survive in the real world he has.
