Not defending Chris but as it's been pointed out time and time again Chris doesn't actually need to send out rewards or even complete his commitments, the only downside to not doing so is loosing supporters, patreon ain't gonna do shit.
Yeah, but that's not really the conversation at hand. We're not talking about technically what he's obligated to do, but rather what is good and right for him to do.
That said it's hard to say Chris is "working on it" rather than not when you consider he fucked up his etsy/sonicu figures thing so bad has shop was closed....you have to fuck up real bad to have them step in.
The sonichu figurines were kind of a unique situation, in that I don't think Chris expected or was prepared for a sales volume of that magnitude. That was indeed a big fuckup on Chris' part, but not really a repeatable situation.
In general, when Chris has a reasonable workload, he delivers satisfactorily.
I didnt say he never sent anything.
He goes on Patreon and asks for people to pay off the mortgage but he can't be bothered to regularly send out comics once a month.
I didn't say you said he never sent anything. Reread my post. I said "never (or essentially never)" and yeah, that's very much what it sounds like you're saying here.
It sounds like you believe Chris' successful delivery percentage to be close to zero. Maybe not literally zero, but pretty low, like 30% or less.
That's not the case. Chris fulfills the vast majority of the requests he receives.
We're talking about a guy who had terrible ebay and etsy ratings, had numerous complaints on both sites, had money returned to buyers on a number of occaisions, and lost both accounts at a time when he was literally begging for money.
Actually, Chris has always had pretty solid ebay ratings. He's a pretty good seller on ebay when the buyers aren't weens looking to fuck with him.
He also couldn't be bothered to always make time sensitive videos, like birthday wishes, in a timely fashion when he was getting paid $50 for them.
He gets most of them on time.
Chris' behavior is informed by signals from his customers: money, requests, demands and threats. His customers pay him lots of money, make many requests, but little demands, and virtually no threats.
Chris' customers are self-cucking themselves. In fact, market forces should dictate Chris should send out less product than he does.
That said, anyone who tries to buy something from Chris is a sucker unless it's strictly cash and carry. Or if they're perfectly content with potentially losing their money or they just think of it as giving to charity.
They don't lose out. They do receive their content, on average. The vast majority of people who send Chris money in exchange for some good or service do receive their good or service.
Anyone stupid enough to contribute to Chris's patreon is a sucker
In the sense that they're being conned?
