Doki Doki Literature Club is essentially your average psychological horror game disguised as a visual novel. Monika is a character who will "break" the 4th wall by manipulating game data so that in the end, you will only end up with her. Knowing Chris, he might actually believe that Monika is communicating in real time, further cementing his belief in that alternate dimension bullshit.

Why would Chris ever do something like that??? In his mind, he's the hero, so therefore, he feels that everyone should be nice to everyone, and no one should have negative banter with their friends. Chris would never ignore the chance to straighten those cyberbullies out. But then again, he takes everything he hears and read literally, and he doesn't quite grasp the concept of joking around with friends or sarchasm.

So, a famous celebrity getting married means anything can happen, anything being Chrissy's four spouses and every other fictional character he can think of will magically appear in this reality, which is dimension 1218.
