Containment Random Chris Updates

You do realize that you've just told whoever is doing it that they were successful? Now maybe if they make 2,300 more calls instead of 10,000, they might get an angry video out of Chris.

That's far more likely to happen than any of them actually listening to reason.

I have bad news then... it did happen!

edit: oh seems like he might not get the rose from the judge but he did get the movie tickets.

Holy I can't believe I missed this post, so this is how far the system has fallen, Where this $hithead can literally do whatever the hell he wants? I wonder sometimes if Chandler is more crafty then he lets on, he totally knows that this is something he can abuse to keep acting like a subhuman.

So the police have visited Chris yet again.. seems the latest round of troll police calls is the most intense in years.

Edit: and animal control

Folks, the authorities have much better things to be doing with their time.. Just stop.

Absolutely. Both the local sheriff's dept, and the state police are considering it harassment at this point, and are trying to identify who's continuing to make calls. In this case, the people taking the calls for Animal Control are the same people that handle 911, so please don't put someone's life in jeopardy just because you want to stir the pot.

I hope they get a couple of them and throw them in jail for frivolously wasting police time with absolute bullshit. These people are shittier than Chris himself. At least when the cops have to deal with Chris for real it's because he actually committed some dumb crime.

So, the judge rewarded him and his mom for his bad behavior by giving them movie ticket vouchers.

The Hell is with that court system?

It reads like it's supposed to be a kind of carrot-and-stick therapy program, with heavy emphasis on the carrot part. The ultimate goal seems to be enabling the people who go through the program to become normal, functioning members of society, but of course Chris has a snowball's chance in hell of accomplishing that. The worst thing that can happen to him if he fails is he gets a suspended sentence, and he's gotten those before.

Or present them with a heavy fine - which would be fun to explain to their parents, if the trolls are idiot children.

I am genuinely curious, though - how successful is this setup? How many become repeat offenders, because they like the idea of getting freebies.

Because, I can't imagine these people learning anything from their mistakes if they get presents for meeting court appointed expectations.

I am genuinely curious, though - how successful is this setup? (as in, how many of those who complete the requirements/get their certificates) become repeat offenders, because they like the idea of getting freebies.

Apparently they just started the program in February this year, so I doubt they have much in the way of useful data so far. Chris is probably one of the first people to go through the program.

I swear Chandler is more crafty then he lets on
He's really not. The therapeutic docket is new, and was set up to prioritize treatment of people with serious mental illnesses, rather than just punishing them like normal people. It's only for misdemeanors sans DUI, so relatively minor crimes. The corrections system has become substantially more lenient towards offenders with developmental disorders over the last 20-ish years.

The program is only available through referral by judge, defendant, defense attorney, district attorney, probation officer, or mental health case worker. I'm sure there will be repeat offenders, but I doubt they would be referred to the program a second time.

And you know this how?

Yes, I am mad on the internet, because I don't want to bury Chris.

If digging the grave doesn't kill me, surely rolling the huge corpse in will do me in. Think of someone else for once, assholes.

Where did you garner this little gem?

Depends on the movie. We can but hope.

@The Captain what are the police going to Chris’ house for? Or at least, what is Chris saying they come for?

Not saying idiots aren’t doing it, but a small part of me hopes it’s something else. Like maybe Chris did something lately he shouldn’t have and they’re checking in on him.
