Think about why people are interested in Chris, and why that would not be in Praetor's best interests. If he's not going crazy in a mall or fucking his mom people will get bored quick, only a small subset give a shit about Sonichu.

It is counterintuitive, but I'm just speaking based on what they've done so far. Chris hasn't been given any outlets to keep being crazy, they're not forcing him to stream or tweet. Their, and his, revenue stream only consists of merchandise and commissions from what I know. If they want to him to finish his commissions fast and efficient, then they only benefit by attempting to make him normal. They don't seem to have the balls, or the intention, to actually profit off his insanity actively.,

If it was just some random girl who wanted to help a deeply mentally ill man, why would she agree to travel long distances alone with him? She showed up with Chris at the North Carolina convention (and was actively trying to hide from cameras) and Chris mentioned in the BABScon email exchange he would have come with a female friend who absolutely would have been Flutter. That's a far greater level of commitment than I'd expect for a purely casual association for the local town idiot.
Which is why I remain convinced the whole etsy store thing is a front for drug money laundering, with a side of legitimate business to provide additional cover for Caden's actions. As long as Chris isn't dead, his legacy will provide context for why anybody would want this CWC-themed garbage, and the cops aren't going to look any further into it unless they have good reason to.

God Praetors getting money really pisses me off. It GRINDS my gears. Why couldn't one of you be rich and just buy him a house for free instead? I don't know what those nasty Praetors are doing to Chris and it scares me.
It would be absolutely nuts if that is the original tape he sent into Nintendo, but I'm extremely skeptical. The seller is Canadian, so how did the tape end up there? It looks like it's in really good condition, but I'm not an expert on tape degradation. For what it's worth, the seller has good feedback and seems to specialize in selling old rare DVDs and VHS tapes. I really doubt that Chris ever made a copy.
Even if it's the original, the quality in VHS degrades everytime you play it and degrades just sitting around. Honestly if you want a high quality rip you are better off using AI on the best digital copy available. Then again if it's original, it's a horcrux worth owning

Marvin and Null were trying to keep anyone else from doing what the Idea Guys did, and didn't want to see Chris losing the house or thrown in jail (I know, I know, hindsight and all that). It's a little different from keeping him in a box, not releasing any content, and having him make medallions for your Etsy business.
) Given the feature in Nintendo Power, I must be wrong in my previous assumption that Chris never made a copy, since there must be the video he sent to Nintendo Power (unless they sent it back for some reason) as well as the tape he got footage from to make the DVD (the 'documentary' is from 2003 and the DVD is from 2007).
