I would think the randomly included Gears of War months are something suggested by a troll or something similar. Not only Chris hasn't even played Gears yet, it's a rather more apocryphal part of the lore that you're not even going to notice playing the games, and Gears of War sure isn't something Chris would take a particular interest in.

This is starting to get so autistic that I'm not even sure is Chris autistic or am I autistic or are we all just in the infinite abyss of autism.
 
The guy feeding him ideas is probably one of the hundreds of fake twitter galpals that sprung up during Chris' #TrollCWC campaign. There's so many of them that chances are one of them actually got into Chris' thick skull somehow.

All of those Rare games are bundled with Rare Replay, so it seems that Chris has uncharacteristically limited himself to Gears, Rare Replay and some Sonic classics. Probably only about $40 or so spent.

He must be ill.

I feel your pain. Sometimes I ask a rational question about Chris and then I remember who we're talking about and that the answer to everything is :autism:.
