Beat me to it by a couple minutes
Every single thing in that picture is in rough shape...
Chris looks like he just got through fighting the battle of the buldge
I somehow hadn't noticed the massive tear in the shirt sleeve until you said that. Goddamn, even with his crippling autism he should be able to tell that he looks like shit. I know The Classic is a key part of his identity and all, but he should just hang it on the wall or something instead of wearing it out in public. I don't even get why he's so attached to the torn skirt as well.Every single thing in that picture is in rough shape...
To be honest, Chris doesn't change his clothing that often.I somehow hadn't noticed the massive tear in the shirt sleeve until you said that. I was surprised he wasn't using the front AV jacks of that monitor for his Dreamcast. It's a shame Chris never got into building computers or something. There are times when he displays genuine interest in technology.
And I assumed the one on top of the disc door was because he broke it at some point and needed to keep it shut while playing a game.I think he just has it because it looks nice. Decorating with gems is a huge step up from decorating with Pokemon McDonalds toys or whatever.
Now that is a fitting timline right there.Imagine an alternate timeline where Chris takes after Bob and follows his inclination for tech. Bob fostering Chris's natural talent and interest with technology, passing on what he learned from his time as an engineer with Chris listening eagerly, eventually leading Chris down the obvious STEM career path.
Fast forward 20 years. Bob is in the garage workshop he shares with his son, tinkering with some fixer-upper car parts and listening to jazz on the docked iPod that Chris set up for him. Chris bursts in excitedly to reveal that he's been promoted again.
I wouldn't doubt that! Also copied floppies to boot (Bob certainly didn't spring for originals if he could help it)!I bet Chris thinks this is the best commodore 64 game ever made.

Yeah because where the fuck is Chris supposed to find a large Ralph Lauren long-sleeved polo shirt now?
