Chris is never going to be institutionalized. I predict Barb will outlive him. He will eventually ride around on a mobility scooter and be the town nuisance. The cops will have a code that means "Chris is starting trouble tell him to go home". One night he'll be riding on his scooter from Walmart, have a heart attack, tip over into a ditch, and die. Barb will be 103 when this happens.
