Containment Random Chris Updates

The thing about Chris is that he is the unfortunate combination of being both rather dense and never having an original thought in his life.
He wants to be someone and so he seeks to play that character without actually giving any thought as to why it would work. This is where his autism really comes back to fuck him in that he is clinically unable to see someone else's point of view.

In other words, the lack of theory of mind

in this case i think the character he's trying ot be is his idea of a woman
his idea of a woman based on old TV shows and stereotypes
women who kiss and hug and coo at each other at first sight, then go shopping at the big malls that haven't all closed up because it's still the 80s right?

and yet no matter how many times a real woman objects to the way he acts, he wont put 2 and 2 together and realize "hey, this isn't how women act, they just don't like random crazy men grabbing and kissing them"
nope, it must be the women are stressed, or some force is making them do it.

Imagine if Chris grew up with television from a couple decades earlier.

We'd be dealing with the Housewife Saga right now.

Has Chris mentioned if he's doing the cooking around the house now that Barb is basically zombified or does he just let her have some of his McDonald's from time to time? Seeing that Barb has gone from a snorlax to disturbingly gaunt in her old age I imagine she isn't controlling her food intake any more.

Barb hasn't cooked since the 90s out of spite iirc, when Bob said he didn't like her spaghetti. I think the bewildered stare thing is at least half an act to gain sympathy and sell blankets and shit in the begging videos. She looks like a reanimated corpse, but is seemingly still sharp enough to pay bills, plunder Chris's bank account and get back at him when she doesn't get her way, assuming she really did throw out the classic.

That's actually pretty much how Chris has always expected things to go. Back when the Love Quest was still on, Chris made a video for one of his sweethearts that showed how he expected their marriage to go: she would be the breadwinner and work to support the family, and he'd stay home and be a house-husband who cooked and cleaned and looked after the kids, not that he'd ever have been good at any of that.

Chris actually did grow up on shows from the 50s and 60s, like I Love Lucy, The Red Skelton Hour, and Gilligan's Island, thanks to being raised by a pair of old people. It's probable that a lot of his views on relationships and gender were derived from these shows, at least to begin with.

It also doesn't help that the vast majority of shows/games/etc. he likes are made for children, so they aren't going to have ideas or characters that necessarily go against the "status quo" of gender roles. It feels like his views on things like gender/ etc. have never been challenged, and when they have, he tries to circumvent the opposing views.
tl;dr Chris has archaic views on gender roles because he grew up with things that kinda enforced stereotypes.

No, it's just because once they came home after already having eaten and since they were full, they didn't want to eat any more. She threw a screaming tantrum and refused to ever cook again because that's just what kind of insane cunt she is. Then she rendered the kitchen useless by burying it in hoard.

Sounds like an excuse to me. She was probably in her late 40s then and just didn't want to cook anymore. Barb strikes me as someone who wanted to live like Peggy Bundy since that's about exactly as she lives now.

The cooking thing is something that puzzles me. Why is it so horrible that Barb would decide not to cook? Lots of people are responsible for preparing their own meals. Does everyone here have someone else that is obligated to cook for them?

It’s probably the reason for it and the fact that Chris is too much of a dumbass to cook for himself.

Chris has "cooked" before with his CUTCO brand CUTCO Spatula Spreader with CUTCO patented Double-D edge and Lifetime Warrenty from CUTCO.
