I could say there's a three headed miniature horse running circles around my yard. I'd send him a Googled image of someone's backyard and ask, "it ran off before I could get my camera, but don't you see the purple aura it left behind?" Then he'd say of course senses and congratulate me on discovering a new pokemon or some bullshit.
Maybe it's because this three headed purple thing further feeds into his delusion this magical world of his exists and gives him another excuse to keep playing pretend.
