Not new but not mentioned in this thread, but GameFAQs still has an active forum. It's nothing compared to twenty years ago but it still gets hundreds of users daily.

As of this post submission there "are approximately 577 registered users currently using the message boards."
once in a blue moon it will save me when i'm stuck in a game or whatever

As retarded as this place can get at times, the following two forums are absolute bastard hellholes in comparison:

The first is run by a guy who took over the old Tony Kempster Non League website called Steve Walker, not a nice man - tried to take over his hometown club Hednesford Town 'by force' and recently made threats against a club member of Bury AFC because she dared to defend her club from trolls on the website who were angry that the club didn't play first team players (during an injury crisis) in an FA Trophy match and because they doubled down said trolls mass sperged out and raged because they didn't get what they wanted.

The second is a website which is run by a Paul Sioursczuk (?) and the mods there are ultra autistic and prone to threats and will ban you just for not agreeing with them.

Ask something simple like 'what is the cheapest fare between Bristol and Newcastle' and within five posts you will either be called Hitler or one of the users will literally threaten to kill you.

Steve Hoffman Music Forum but all I know about them so far is this post.

It's Okay To Leave A Dog In A Hot Car: parody or well hidden secret?
Earlier today I attempted to discuss this song and was met with contempt and cynicism from bad-faith commenters. So I'd like to try and have a more civilized discussion this time: is this song a fake parody, or is it a well kept secret that the Beatles ignored/obfuscated for years to avoid controversy?

People here acted as those this song was fake and or a joke, but you can see in the video that Paul is composing the song in the moment and it seems to be an earnest moment of songwriting. This footage looks to be from the Get Back documentary that came out a few years ago but I don't remember it being in the movie, therefore it may have been put on the cutting room floor (understandably so) and later sneakily uploaded to the internet by an editor for the sake of posterity.

What were The Beatles trying to achieve in this song? Was it a cheeky bit of dark British humor or were they actually endorsing animal abuse? I don't know what the times were like in the 1960s as I was -32 years old at the time so I hope to gain some context or better understanding here

PS: please don't ruin this discussion for other commenters with negative comments or thread-derailing. the Steve Hoffman forums should be a place for open and healthy discussion without bickering or discrimination, thank you in advance

Found it while searching for the origin of "The Mobile Nigger Incinerator" one that my buddy kept sending me. It's straight out of 1995, and has a forum that is still active.

This thing rules. I'm finding old fan websites I forgot about. Cheers to whomever featured this thread.

I searched "Outlaw Star" to see if I could find any of the really old fan pages from back in the day. I ended up finding Lady Charlotte's Outlaw Star page, along with all of her old anime fan pages. It's extremely cringe and I do not recommend reading any of it unless you have a strong stomach. That said, I remembered this person because it was one of the first English-speaking fan pages I found way, way back in the day (as well as Mantis, who is still fucking around), and because of the MIDI songs she made.

I wonder what this person is up to nowadays?

Anyone here remember Diggidy.net, aka LimitedRareGame, aka the developers of the Poop Slinger PS4 game that's rare as fuck?
Well I clicked a link to their forum and was greeted to this.

You know, I think forums are better mainly because with Discord if a Discord admin doesn't like your community or some tranny reports you for insulting them or whatever you can get banned and get locked out of your account and be unable to manage your community, but with a forum it's a lot harder. You have to contact the domain registrar or hosting provider and shit.
