We have a thread like this gaming and movies/tv, so why not have one for music.

Here's a bunch I got so far...
  • While he's not credited for it because of his 2001 firing, former Eagles lead guitarist Don Felder co-wrote several songs for their 2007 album, Long Road Out of Eden when work on the project started in 1998.
  • Among those that were being considered to take up the drummer position in Led Zeppelin after John Bonham's death include Carmine Appice, Cozy Powell, Bev Bevan (of Electric Light Orchestra), Roger Taylor (of Queen), and even Phil Collins. Collins actually played drums for Zeppelin during their disastrous set on the original Live Aid. It went exactly the way you'd imagine it would.
  • Heaven and Hell (the first Black Sabbath album with the late Ronnie James Dio) started off as yet another classic lineup album. Guitarist Tony Iommi claims to have a tape of Ozzy singing an early version of Children of the Sea.

Most of Burial's Untrue was composed after his dog died. The heavy lyrics throughout the album aren't about a lost girlfriend, but instead his lost dog.

You Got a Friend in Me was originally about a used car saleman

Shes been experimenting with several genres while being a soloist in Japan, maybe getting a few thousand views per video
Eventually moving to a more J-Rock sound
Just some trivia most people don't know about

Eddie van halen once held fred durst at gunpoint because limp Bizkit were moving at nigger speeds returning his equipment.

The eagles are the only band in history to have two albums sell over 40 million copies.

The first song to use the now ubiquitous gated reverb drum kick was the Phil Collins song " in the air tonight".

Eddie van halen wrote the guitar sections of Micheal Jacksons thriller

The reason the band Boston has such a unique guitar sound is their guitarist designed and patented the sound or the machines used to make the sounds.
