Then the cycle starts over, he gets money, changes his identity again, becomes an annoying fuck, loses friends, and so on.

Phil's burnt too many bridges. Though you do make a good point about dumbasses throwing him some of their hipster welfare bux.

But it should be remembered that Phil was never really homeless. He'd often crash at motels and scarf down blocks of cheese while posting about how tough it is to live on the streets, if he lost his home now he'd face actual homelessness. That'd be an entirely different situation from what he's dealt with before.

He'd be screwed.
